Dust in the air is bad for your finishes and worse for your lungs, but this air cleaner from Delta takes care of the problem. You can suspend it from the ceiling or just stand it in your shop. Either way, with both of its two filters in place, this unit traps 91 percent of particles 1 micron in size (that’s one-millionth of a meter!). Three speeds and a remote control let you handle the dust however you’d like, but the best innovation might be the time-delay shut-off, so you can have the air cleaner doing its job after you’ve finished yours. The price is right for the home hobbyist, but this workhorse is powerful enough for the professional’s shop. It’s easy to assemble and will be working for you right away. I was concidering this model and a few others including the jet. The delta won the comparison hands down. lets compare to the jet. both have a 3 speeds and 2 seperate filters and a remote. delta filters 91% of 1 micron particles jet only filters 85%. deltas timer can be set from 30 min to 71/2 hours in 30 min incraments. jets only has 3 setting. the timer must be set with the remote on the jet and all of the deltas features can be controled by remote and from the unit. and from what i heard from others the delta is more quiet. so i came to the conculsion that the delta model is beter in everyway to the jet model. even compared to grizzly's filter the delta wins. worth every penny. and a small price to pay for clean air and healthy lungs. not to mention no dust on your projects when finishing them.

I have my shop in the cellar & the dust used to drive my wife nuts. Got this unit & she hasn't said a word since! WORKS FOR ME!!!

Fit & finish is very good. It was easy to hang & I esp like the remote control. Your shop - & your lungs - should have one!I'd give it 5 stars except in all the pre-purchase investigation one thing didn't show up till I opened the box! There is an admonishion that this unit will not filter metal dust from the air. I work 98% with metal......... Wonder what that mewans?
