5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect! And I use it for my daycare!
Im really surprised that there are many people complaining about not being sturdy. I run a licensed group daycare home (12 kids) and this thing has been great! You should see all the stuff we have on it, in the middle shelf we have 6 infant spaces with diapers stacked near the front and the spare clothes for each of these kids behind it. The bottom shelf has the same...

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay for little babies........
I bought this for my son. I thought it was a good product for a fair price. He has been using it for the past 8 months with no problems. But just yesterday I saw a sticker on the side of the strap that said the table had a 20 lb weight limit! I was surprised. My son almost weighs that and I don't want to buy another table now. Next time I will buy a more substantial one...

The bottom shelf has the same but only one or two kids and the rest of the space is all used for spare clothes for the kids. We also have some pretty big kids using it, the 2 1/2 year olds get changed there every single day and the screws never needed to be tightened. Like I said, we have a daycare, we change 4 infants and 4 toddlers every weekday here and never a problem.

Anyway, I will definately be purchasing one for my little baby due in May with all the confidence in the world. I don't condone all the Jenny Lind products though, the crib is great too especially for the money but the cradle didnt last long at all. I did have a BIG problem with that one comming loose all the time and tipping.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite Surprised!, February 5, 2002

I was very surprised at the size of this table once assembled. It was very simple to put together, I did it by myself in about 45 minutes. Once assembled I had to re-think where I was going to put it because it is much larger and than it looks in the picture. I have even more storage space than I had anticipated. I store extra diaper bags, receiving blankets, and diapers on the bottom shelf. The top shelf holds everything else that I need for my son Devin. When put together right, this is a very sturdy table. I was reluctant to buy it because of the ones that I had seen, even in department stores, were very wobbly. I enjoy using it, and it saves on the back from having to bend over the bed when changing diapers or clothes. I am going to have to find a different use for it when Devin outgrows it, because I would really hate thinking about giving it up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Get something sturdier, December 14, 2001

After a heated discussion with my husband, I won my way and got a changing table. But I didn't want to spend a lot, just in case we didn't use it much/ for long. So, I got this cheap one. Well, you get what you pay for. When I went to put it together, I found the shelving was paperboard plywood although the ends were solid wood. This was the first bad sign. Next, the metal support bars for the undersides of the shelves were not able to be installed because they drilled the pilot holes on the top instead! Finally, I noticed that the table can only support a baby that is 20 lbs or less. I will be returning the table tomorrow to find something that is of a much higher quality and can be put together properly.

5.0 out of 5 stars not sure what others are complaining about, April 14, 2004
By A Customer

I agree with what another reviewer wrote: I'm not sure what people are doing with their changing table that it is falling apart. I've been using this table for months, and have zero complaints about it. Mine is extremely sturdy (and I often lean on it in the middle of the night while waiting for my son to do his "business".) My son loves being on it -- he usually thrashes his arms and legs wildly, yet the table never moves a bit. And as for the people who say that it will be "outgrown" too quickly...huh? This is the biggest changing table I've ever seen, and mine is sturdy enough to hold a good deal of weight. I've never had any trouble with the shelves or screws coming lose (and I have the shelves loaded). If you're really rough on furniture or are really paranoid about your child crashing to the floor, I'd suggest paying $500 for solid oak. But this table gets my recommendation -- it's a great table for a great price.

I've been using my Jenny Lind table for several months now, and I find that it is not only attractive, but makes changing quite convenient and safe. With my Jenny Lind crib, I have a very nice and well-coordinated nursery for very little money. What more could I ask for??

It's a great deal for the price, but the build is not so strong that it could be used for more than a few years. Don't buy it if you want an heirloom quality piece of furniture.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good investment, November 30, 2001

We had this changing table when I was babysitting full-time. It was well used. It was very handy, and I used it to store diapers, wipes, toys, etc. It was sturdy enough that when one of the babies started to crawl, it held him when he crawled onto the bottom shelf to get a toy!!! Since I'd had previous back surgery, it was difficult for me to stoop down to change the babies, and this made it so much easier on me, since they were up on my level. The extra storage space kept everything out of the floors and the closets, too. This was definitely a life-saver for me. I handed it down to my niece when she had her baby, and she loves it, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this table, September 30, 2002
This review is from: Delta Children's Products Vintage Chic Jenny Lind Changing Table in Oak (Baby Product)
I don't know what other people are doing with thier tables, but I use mine for changing the baby (have used it for 5 months now) and storing her reciveing blankets, extra packs of diapers, burp cloths, extra wipes, etc. and mine has never wobbled once. It was really easy to put together too. I think this is the best changing table and cheapest also. Why buy one for <more> when this one is perfect? And when baby is potty trained, you can turn it into a bookshelf for all those tons of books you recieved when they were younger.

I've been using this changing table for 18 months with no problems until this morning my wiggly 25lb. daughter fell through! She could have been really hurt. The rail that the changing platform slides into gave out. On the purchase page on this web site it states for children 3 years old and under but when you get the box it states for 20 pounds and under! I'm guessing the average three year old has long since broken 20 pounds, my daughter was 20 pounds around 11 months and has always been in the 50th percentile. My advice is to spend a little more money on something more substantial so you don't have to spend a lot more money later replacing it or worse possibly on a doctors appointment for an injured child. Please take some time to read all of the reviews. There are so many complaints of cheap material, cracked wood, the pitiful 20# weight limit, bad instructions, screws that keep coming loose, missing parts, and warped panels. Many reviewers agree you get a cheap, poor quality table for a cheap price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Changing tables are very helpful thing, and this is a good 1, November 28, 2001
By A Customer

I really like our changing table, it's made of solid wood and matches our Jenny Lend crib by Evenflow. My table is a used one and it is still very stable. The shelfs hold a lot of baby stuff including the heavy items, like jumbo packs of diapers and mega packs of diaper wipes, several at a time. Mine successfully stores receiving blankets, diapers, wipes, medications (to be removed when the baby starts to reach there) - I can reach any of that on second shelf without letting go of the baby on the top one. And you'll always find stuff to put on the bottom shelf.
Very good product.
