My grandson is now in a "Big Boy Bed".When my husband and I found that we would be hosting him at our home,we decided we'd better get with the program.I immediately got on line and went straight to Amazon.I ordered the "Cars" toddler bed.It has a molded plastic head and foot board and the cutest decals for the headboard.The frame is aluminum and there are plastic supports to be placed in the middle of the frame.It was a tad difficult to put together but once completed it is very nice! My grandson is an active sleeper and this bed was well suited to his needs! We are very happy with it and glad to reassure any parent that it is very sturdy!

My son LOVES this bed!!He runs to show everyone who comes over his new big boy bed with The cars characters.It is a very well made bed..I have to go lay with him sometimes and I lay right on the bed with him!!

Seems like they make a lot of different colored beds with the same underlying plastic frames. However, instead of using colored plastic in the molds, they use a standard plastic & paint each one differently.

Why is this important? The paint comes off of these very easily... it just doesn't seem bonded well at all. I was wiping it down with a disinfectant wipe, and I noticed color leeching onto the wipe.

Then I dried the surface with a dry paper towel, and tried wiping the surface with just a damp cloth - only water this time. Again, the surface of the cloth was discolored by the paint.

I would imagine that my kid's teeth & mouth would be better at stripping the paint off the plastic than the damp cloth. Maybe it is just the batch of beds that I had to deal with, but I could not honestly recommend this one.

We own a baby furniture rental business in AZ and needed a bed for toddlers. This is a great bed for the boys, we also have a Disney Princess bed for the girls. The kids love it that there is a special bed just for them, and are ecstatic about the Disney characters.

When this bed came, I was very excited. My grandson did love the bed, but he grew out of it too fast. He is three. THe 8 years old must be munchkins to still fit in that bed at eight! It was very hard to put together. The screw holes were off. One of the plastic sideboards broke off already. It was too small. My grandson kept bumping his head on the plastic sideboards.
Not really a good deal.

We should have trusted our doubts when bed was priced so inexpensively and description said that it was "painted wood". When it arrived it was obviously plastic. We considered immediately sending it back but our son had already fallen in love with the "Cars" theme so we had no choice but keep it. Fortunately, bed is adequate and inexpensive enough that we will be satisfied if we get a year out of it by the time our son either grows out of the bed or gets tired of it, whichever takes place first.
