5.0 out of 5 stars Installation Confusion, but Good Game.
I bought this about a week after it was released and I have to say it was an excellent game! Here are some pros and cons.

PROS

1. Better Team AI(You can actually depend on your men to kill some of the enemy
2. Better Enemy AI(Look out for those RPGS--they're dead accurate. Never fall into the path of an enemy manned 50 cal)

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay game
I don't play the signle player missions for this game so I can't tell you if it is a good signle play mission game or not. The only diffrence between Team Sabre and the regular Black Hawk Down game is that in Team Sabre there are new weapons and skins and maps. Online the game is better, it still has that invisible sniper problem but the lounge is much better. The awards...

PROS

1. Better Team AI(You can actually depend on your men to kill some of the enemy
2. Better Enemy AI(Look out for those RPGS--they're dead accurate. Never fall into the path of an enemy manned 50 cal)
3. Longer Levels(More fun, and unpredictable)
4. Three New Awesome Guns
5. 3 New vehicles(A SF boat, a heli and an armored car that is pretty weak)
6. Play as Delta Force, US Ranger Corp., and the British SAS
7. Improved Graphics
8. Improved Sound

CONS:
1. Confusing Installation(NovaL is waay to protective of disc copies so you will need the first CD to play it, which it doens't say anywhere on the box and it took me a few hours to figure it out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good expansion - Poor / Confusing installation, February 12, 2004
This review is from: Delta Force Black Hawk Down Team Sabre (CD-ROM)
This is a good expansion pack to a great game. The game will give you at least several hours (and possibly quite a bit more) of quality entertainment. For $20, that's a pretty good value. The game makes some improvements over the original, which is nice. The new missions and gear are all very well done additions. Installation and instructions are poor, however. Once you install and update the game, you must use the original BHD disk for gameplay. The directions don't mention this important fact. Illogical, confusing, but not a deal-breaker.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good game, Very hard install, February 14, 2004

People are right, if you get through the install its a fun game. It took me a few weeks of trial&error and calls and emails to novalogic...they finally emailed me back with helpful info. I had to uninstll the original BHD and BHDteam sabre then reinstall both CDs. Some installation pointer: 1)after you install team sabre cd you must insert original BHD cd to play Not the team sabre cd 2)if you want to uninstll team sabre you must uninstall both team sabre and the original BHD then reinstall the original BHD cd. Yes this unfortunately deletes all saved games. People should go to the novalogic web site for step by step install instructions. Dont forget to update the game once you finish install. At last you get new weapons, new vehicles and new missions in columbia and iran. Its fun playing now but sure was a pain to install. Hope this helps.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun with some glitches, February 14, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Delta Force Black Hawk Down Team Sabre (CD-ROM)
TEAM SABRE is overall a pretty good game. There are however some glitches. The enemy AI is still dumb. Most of the time they just stand there shooting. Even if you waste everyone around an enemy, he'll just keep firing at you. The game compensates for it by throwing a lot of enemies at you. On one level, the summary indicated that my team and I had killed nearly 400 of them! Friendly AI is not great either. Your teammates will often get stuck, sometimes to the point that they can no longer follow you or your commands. Also, I have seen teammates refuse to budge from an item that you have to blow up (thus killing the teammate) in order to progress in the mission. Also, I have seen teammates stand in front of a mounted machine gun which you must use to mow down advancing enemies. Still it is a worthy expansion pack. The graphics are noteworthy. Explosions are very realistic, and the animations of various vehicles, including helicopters, is great. I especially enjoy fighting off the enemy vehicles which attack you in most missions. If you have a subwoofer, there is a nice rumbling sound to the explosions and music. Some gamers have had trouble insalling the game. Remember, you must use the original BLACK HAWK DOWN disc to play TEAM SABRE, and it must be in the same drive as always to play or else the game won't recognize it. All in all, TEAM SABRE is fun, esp. if you enjoyed the other DELTA FORCE games.

P.S. To the retarded guy that said he didnt know it was an expansion pack. If you look and at a close up shot of the game you would see in large yellow writing:

An EXPANSION PACK
To Americas #1 Selling game.

Next time look closer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall it is a good game !, January 31, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Delta Force Black Hawk Down Team Sabre (CD-ROM)
Purchase the team sabre because I have the original black hawk down game. It had some trouble when I tried to install this expansion pack. I think Novalogic is too protective and prevent anyone to duplicate or use the copy version. If you install incorrectly, you need to uninstall the original black hawk down and re-install both original and the team sabre together again. So, prepare the original game disc on your side when you try to install this expansion pack. Those new missions are harder than the black hawk down especially the last mission in Iran. It was too long and only 3 saved. The RPGs are so nasty and will nade you down anytime anywhere. I work in the LA county SWAT team and I dont need to emphasize my shooting skill, I tried more than 50 times to finish the last mission in Iran. End up I need to download a trainer to pass this mission. The enemies are so small like an ant and hard to spot. The game play more look like arcade type. If you really like a FPS sim, Play Raven Shield or Ghost Recon. They are so real and so close to the real. This review is written by "Smacker"..my call sign.

The only diffrence between Team Sabre and the regular Black Hawk Down game is that in Team Sabre there are new weapons and skins and maps. I recommend this game to anyone who wants to try new weapons to Blawk Hawk Down or wants new signle player Missions.

4.0 out of 5 stars More Complexity too BHD., January 31, 2004

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Delta Force Black Hawk Down Team Sabre (CD-ROM)
This addon adds quite a bit more complexity too the original Black Hawk Down game, and is well worth the money if you really like the Black Hawk Down game from Novalogic. The enemy seems almost too good at times, they can see you when you can't see them in the dark. Even with nvg's on! Their RPG'ers are always accurate and if you let one get a shot off, the mission is over.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, January 21, 2004

Eternal Vayne "713" (Twain Harte, CA - USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Delta Force Black Hawk Down Team Sabre (CD-ROM)
I bought this game today and started playing it. The graphics are better than the original BHD and the enviorments are more complex. there are multiple ways to play through most missions so you won't see yourself going through linear paths as you might have on the original BHD. The jungle levels in Colombia are amazing! The trees and jungle canopy are rich and the water and dirt look just right. There are new weapons to aid your quest, (sadly, still no AK.) Your team is smarter and better reacting this time around, I am pleased to see them dieing less! I was so impressed with the first BHD I didn't hesitate to pick Team Sabre up and after three missions I can say it was a great purchase. It is defineitly worth the money as well. $20 is fantastic and pretty much affordable for everyone. I would recommend this game to any fan of the first BHD.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Short., August 9, 2004
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Delta Force Black Hawk Down Team Sabre (CD-ROM)
Great Game, but I only gave it 3 stars since the game was way to short. I finished this game in two days, about 4 hours. If you are into Mutiplayer, you will probably get a lot more play time from the game.

Other than the game being short, I didn't find anything wrong and it was a lot of fun while it lasted.
