Delta Goodrem: The Visualise Tour Live in Concert

I saw Delta Goodrem perform on a morning show about a year ago. She sat down at a piano and just sang a song and I was mesmerized for two reasons. First, to be honest, her beauty. She is one of the most beautiful women. Second, her musical talent. She is a terrific musician/singer/songwriter.
Recently, I saw a dvd available overseas of a concert she gave in Sydney, Australia. I finally received it and it was worth the wait. She puts on a wonderful show. I have watched it about five times and it gets better every time. From the opening Butterfly, Lost Without You, Predictable, Almost Here, The Analyst, A Year Ago Today, Be Strong, Out of the Blue and Innocent Eyes, to name my favorites. But in every song, she instills such emotion and joy at singing that its hard not to just sit back and enjoy the whole show over and again.
I dont pretend to understand why some artists make it in the United States from abroad and others dont. The current state of American music has rarely been so bleak as it is right now. Im glad to be able to find some talent overseas who knows what it means to be a musical performer.
Delta Goodrem is a born singer/songwriter and deserves a wide audience and she puts on a truly wonderful concert.
One of my favorite concert dvds and Delta has quickly become one of my favorite singers.

I bought this item oversees and it was worth the wait aswell!
If you love her two cds innocent eyes and mistaken identity this concert dvd is for you!
She sings all the hits plus more and sings every song with emotion and unforgetableness!!!
Delta is awesome and this dvd is great for anyone in the US that loves her because sad to say she probably will not ever tour here, (but we could pray)!!!

I'm still waiting on my copy of the DVD. But I saw some clips of the preview with Delta's commentary on how she wanted the show to be. My friends in Australia went to teh show and absolutely loved. From what I've seen from the preview and the Be Strong video, I'm so excited for this DVD, I can't wait till I get it. Its in the mail somewhere... :p Delta is probably one fo teh best performers I've seen around and I absolutely adore her. From Born To Try to You Are My Rock, she's a STAR.

This concert is fantastic and an enjoyable watch as Delta shows why she is one of the best singers, songwriters and musicians in the world. The set list of songs is of a wide variety of tunes and Delta sings them all wonderful well. This is a must buy for any Delta Goodrem fan!!!

After reading some of the reviews here, I was skeptical about Delta Goodrem, someone not very well known here in the US. The first dvd player I tried it on wouldnt work so I actually gave up on it for about a month until I tried on my laptop one day and it worked. And I was pleasantly surprised. This is a fun concert, loaded with energy, great music, some dancing, and of course the gorgeous Delta Goodrem doing it all. I dont know about her other music but the ones on this dvd were very good. I couldnt help but compare her to Britney Spears, and she is much better than Britney in every respect.

Really Liked the video. Came straight from Australia, took about 2 weeks and in great condition. If your a Delta Goodrem fan, then it's a good buy.

This DVD is great, the stage is excellent and the singing is amazing.
It really shows Delta as a person her personality really comes out as she includes the audience in her performance.
A must for anyone who likes her music.

First of all, I just want to clear up something: I love Delta Goodrem. She's very talented, sweet and good natured. So this is not an attack on her; rather the dvd and concert.

Delta's voice doesn't sound as magnificent as it usually does, a bit off key in a lot of these songs. You'll find this happens quite often when superstars go from the recording studio with the safety of their sound reworker equipment, to a stage where the have to use the full range of their voice without all the helpful props to iron out any flaws.
Sometimes her voice sounds alright, but usually when she doesn't have to use high notes, and the song is slower and more melodic.
At least she doesn't lipsynch... that's something. But unfortunately she would sound better lipsynching this time around.

My uncle also read in a newspaper article that the boy 'from the audience' was staged. He used for every single show from Sydney to Melbourne. In the concert and on the dvd, we viewers are made to believe that he was simply a random fan pulled from the audience, when this just isn't true. I can't have respect for this sort of misleading behaviour purely for commercial purposes...

The Visualise concert certainly is pleasing to the eye as the title might suggest. Sparkly gowns worn by Delta, men in tuxedos, fairies with glittery wings, bright flashing lights, dancers behind her spinning around; it's all a big and loud show which will certainly please hardcore fans and especially younger fans.
Will the dvd last the test of time? Will you keep it for always in your collection? You'll have to find out whether you can stand listening to Delta's voice to answer that question.

If you're looking for some of Delta's BEST work, try her cds: 'Innocent Eyes' and 'Mistaken Identity' or the dvd: 'Delta'.

If you are interested in this as a piece of light entertainment great, I actually attended the visualise tour in Sydney and in Brisbane and I would like my money back. I clearly could tell the piano was pre-recorded and my friends didn't believe me at first but as a musician I found all the pre-recorded voice and instruments a bit too false. The bulk of her lead vocal was live but with autotune applied and the high register was pre-recorded. You can see Delta piano-syncing on the innocent eyes track when her she has both hands on her microphone and yet the piano commences playing. This is the most obvious point but you can easily hear how false the concert was. As a musician this disturbed me, but if you are a fan you will enjoy it. I've just seen too many performances where she doesn't actually play. Not that she can't but obviously she finds playing and singing in time difficult or maybe she just finds it hard to do with a band. She also co-writes her songs and claims a lot that she writes them. As a musician and songwriter I feel this discredits those who have helped her. No malice intended - just dissapointment.

I bought a copy of this DVD and was very disappointed with the audio quality of the 5.1 mix, so much so that I took it back and got another disk, thinking that the disk I had was faulty. Unfortunately the problem is in the master. The Left channel of the 5.1 mix is missing, giving the whole audio image a heavy bias to the right. I was also disappointed with the video quality. The picture is quite grainy and looks like it was shot on miniDV and not on a broadcast quality format. Delta's performance is fantastic but this product doesn't do justice to one of the most talented performers in the world. Shame on Sony BMG !
