Book Description

Delta Green co-creator John Scott Tynes merges Lovecraftian cosmic horror with techno-thriller espionage in these four stories and a novel interconnected by a web of deceit:

An old warrior on a rogue operation is determined to call down the thunder one last time. But he's keeping a secret that may unlock a darker destiny.

“Entry One has been breached. Time to get this show on the road. They have no idea the kind of Hell I've prepared for them. May God have mercy on my soul.”

A Delta Green agent with a mysterious past may learn more than he ever wanted to know when his current case leads where he never dared to go.

In the face of madness and horror, two lonely Delta Green agents reach out to each other. Can they really afford such fragile bonds when the secrets of the night surf roll in?

An agent’s disappearance pulls a Delta Green team into a vortex of horror in this novel of personal apocalypse. The secrets they uncover threaten to ignite a war between the Delta Green conspiracy and its bitterest enemy, Majestic-12 — secrets buried within time itself.

Foreword by Kenneth Hite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strange Authorities April 29, 2012

Tynes is a master storyteller. The world he helped create, the world of Delta Green, is horrific, frightening, schizophrenic, and altogether familiar. These tales are gripping and supremely entertaining and will be enjoyed by anyone interested in looking behind the veil of the safe and known and into the dark realm of the possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff January 26, 2013

What can I say? If you're a fan of HP Lovecraft's mythos, this is a must-read. Continuation of the Mythos into modern times, and even absorbs some conspiracies and plotlines that, at the time ,HPL did not recognize. Highly recommended to fans of the genre, and also to newbies. PS Kindle has HPL's complete works for $2.99...... what a steal.

I've been a fan of Mythos fiction for over 20 years, and I remember when the original Delta Green books came out in the game store I worked at during that time and remember thinking the idea of using high tech spies to fight cosmic horror was brilliant, but still just as hopeless as the guys in the 1920s, which I hoped was the point.

Now, years later looking back at that period through the lens of DG: Strange Authorities it makes it feel closer to a hybrid of Lovecraft & Professor Quatermass seeing the "cutting edge" tech of the 90s in 2012.

An amazingly entertaining read, and it demonstrates the timeless quality of The Conspiracy. Tynes is a great author and an excellent world builder.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cthulhu meets Call of Duty March 6, 2014
By Jeff
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The Delta Green offshoot of the Cthulhu mythos is a mix of interrelated short stories concerning two black-ops government organizations dealing with Cthulhu and extraterrestrials. Delta Green is the good guys, who run afoul of a group of government agents in cahoots with the bad guys. The characterizations are well done, the stories good, and I only wish there was more Delta Green fiction.
