Okay, stop right there. The only good excuse for not buying this already is that you already have a copy...and even that's not a good one since you should probably be buying another copy for someone else. Do it...it's like a commandment or something.

So here's the deal. Jonathan Stockstill, or J-Still as those here in LA call him, was good before. But this Album just took it to another level. From the awesome drum line intro to "Crazy", the song that if you don't want to get up and jump around you seriously need some Holy Spirit Fire in you, to what sounds like a Keith Green song "Open up the Sky" to "Make us Holy" and every song in between. This is a must have Album. And even if Amazon doesn't have it right now, go to [...] and order it from them. Do not, Do not copy this from a friend. Support this ministry.

Thank God that there are people in this world like Jonathan, Corey, Andrae, and Andrew who are willing to lay their lives down, use the gifts that God has given them and Be a light to this world and Worship Jesus with all their hearts, minds and souls.

good cd. like about 3/4 of the songs very much, could do without other 1/4. still very powerful and glad i bought it.

This is a great CD. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes worship music that still rocks a little bit.

In only two years' time, worship leader Jonathan Stockstill has gone from a soulful, cross-cultural bandleader to an alternative hipster with a flair for worship music. Deluge is his new brainchild at Bethany World Prayer Center, the church where he serves as the worship pastor. The four-piece sounds nothing like the praise band on Let the Church Rise, Bethany's first live album. Instead, Stockstill has sidestepped the big-church dynamics -- big band, big choir, big sound, big everything -- for something more youth- and rock-friendly, not unlike Hillsong United and Desperation Band. Since live, energetic expressions of praise are the big thing nowadays, Stockstill is simply going where the wind is blowing, but Deluge's self-titled debut isn't just a rehashing of current rock-worship trends. While the more downtempo numbers tend to blend with what's already out there, Deluge stands out when it's time to rock out, recalling everyone from the Police ("I Believe") and early U2 ("I Need You") to mid-`90s Green Day ("Make It Loud") and even Mars Volta ("Crazy"). Of course, the sentiments are kept as vertical as possible, accessible enough for the thousands who attended the youth conference where the album was recorded. And that's precisely why Deluge works: it attests that it is feasible to throw worshippers a creative curveball. The more I hear it the more I love the songs. Great worship expreience and will sure trying to bring the church members together to sing some of songs during service. I'm glad that I've Deluge in my collection and make me reach my potential in leading worship in my church.

I've really been enjoying this cd, just about all the songs are awesome. The music is very uplifting. You can't help but worship along and draw closer to the Lord, whether at home or in the car. I highly recommend the entire cd.

i'm so happy i finally found the song "open up the sky" we sing it often in our sunday morning praises.

John Stockstill & the Deluge Band were actually at my church a while back for a live performance. I ended up buying their cd that day and I honestly LOVE IT! Their music is truly a blessing and I highly recommend it to everyone considering buying it!

I love this album. It encouragaes me to be radical for Christ and just give Jesus my everything. As you listen & sing along, you'll feel God's love because it's a true praise & worship experience!
