You should have seen the look on my dad's face!
He was so happy. He loves getting his back scratched and when we weren't not around, he had been using the furniture to get those hard to reach spots! haha The stem of the scratcher is slighlty curved and the grip is great for stability. It is also slightly longer and sturdier than those scratchers you can buy at the Asian markets. Shipping was prompt and found some great complimentary gifts from Earth Therapeutics. Thanks! For years I've been begging my husband for a back-scratcher... well, not actually "begging" more like telling him to buy me one after he complains about having to scratch my back... but I digress... this back scratcher is like heaven if heaver were made of wood. I love the soft rubbery grip, which I admit seemed unnecessary at first... but after using it for a few weeks, I have noticed that it provides a better grip. If you have dry skin and are constantly begging to be scratched or find yourself rubbing up against a door frame, treat yourself to this beauty. You won't regret it.
