These CDs are meant to be used with the Proteus Light and Sound Machine Mind Modulations Proteus Light & Sound Mind Machine. This is an excellent product and you can read my review for details.
The CDs in this set offer a wide variety of sound and visual experience. As a musician, I wouldn't feel the effect is maximal or even in the same ballpark without the sound. What is remarkable is that these CDs used with the Proteus Light and Sound Machine have the ability to alter consciousness based on my experience using it. Different CDs seem to induce different states from increased alertness to deep relaxation. I also like the idea that different people put together the CDs. Since individuals experience is different, this wide array of material offers a lot of things to try. While I'm sure you will settle on your own favorites, all of them have something of value to offer and give you a lot of different things to try.

Great sounds and lights. The proteus is ok without the cd's, but these make a world of difference.
