I bought this for my 3 month old baby. It was really adorable when she had it on, but after 15 to 20 minutes, she absolutely hated it. Plus, the top part of the costume didn't fit very well and looked kinda droopy. You can see what I mean in the product picture.

The description may read "1 to 9 months", but this was HUGE on my 3-month old. There wasn't really even a way to tuck it in around her in the stroller to make it look normal. And then the head piece was too small. The quality of the costume was great ~ but unless you have a large baby or your baby is in the 6-9 month range, I wouldn't get this one. My recommendation ~ buy with enough time to try it on and return it if it doesn't fit.

My daughter is 6 months old and this costume swallowed her on top but was too short on the bottom so it wouldnt close right. Still a very cute costume but needs some altering.

The costume looks so sweet on my 6 and a half month old daughter, she's 17 lbs and it fits her so good, but the head piece does not fit at all, its cute, just doesnt fit her. If you like the baby mermaid costume, I highly recommend it babies about 4 months and up (the label says 0-9 months)...i could see the costume being baggy on smaller babies like in the picture but hey, its still cute!

We bought this costume for our infant this Halloween and it was a real hit! The back of it had a velcro for easy diaper changing access and it was easy to put on her in general. The headpiece was adorable and stayed on her head even while carrying her in a parade! Wish we had another reason for her to wear it!

The costume is well made, and very cute, but it fits my three-year-old. My baby is 1 month and this will never fit her - I can't imagine it fitting any child under a year. Bummer...back to the drawing board.
