I purchased three of these portable butane stoves for an event I was catering. When I tried them out, one of the three did not light properly. I received a replacement, and all seemed well.
At the event, I could not get two of the burners to work, and had to scramble to find at least one portable burner from a friend. During the event, the flames would shoot out of the unit, and at one point I burned my hand. Then the flame would get very low and did not keep the heat at a uniform temperature. I ended up returing a total of four of these units.

I strongly recommend you spend more money and get a more reliable product. This is a cheap stove that will not go the distance.

Unit is very light and quite portable.

Inserted canister as directed, but the "Built-In Self Igniting Automatic Ignition" did not work (#*#$&#@!!). Had to light the burner with a barbecue lighter.

Otherwise, the unit presents as advertised. Unit produced a very hot flame that was easy to control. For the price, I can live without the "Built-In Self Igniting Automatic Ignition" (mostly because I was able to fit the lighter in the case under the burner!).

I have it in my "go" box as we often deploy immediately for disasters. Response team members gotta have coffee, electricity or no electricity!

Unit is light and compact and worked perfectly well (including ignition). Case is cheap but handy.

The only complaint I have is that it was very difficult to find the right fuel canisters to run. Target didn't have them; Fred Meyer didn't have them; REI didn't have them... I did finally find them at a one-off sporting goods store (Outdoor Emporium, for you Seattleites). You can order them here on Amazon but you can only get them in packages of 6 or 12 and I didn't want to store them in my small apartment for the rest of my life (I don't camp that much).

FYI: the canisters look like shaving cream cans with a fat lip with a notch in it to hook to the stove.

Buy the stove with the push-button ignitor. The self ignitor mechanism on this stove is a tab on the back of the knob. The plastic is not terribly strong and breaks off fairly easily. I have had this happen to two of my stoves so far. It is well worth pushing an ignitor button in order to have a more reliable stove.

I love this butane burner. Whenever I take it somewhere, everyone comments on it and wants one. It burns hot and the canisters last surprisingly long and they are inexpensive to buy. I would have given this burner a better rating, but the heat control label on the front started peeling off and it is now loose. Not a big deal, since it is easy to control the heat. The automatic lighting mechanism is also having trouble lighting. I have had this burner now for over 4 years.

I recently purchased a GasOne Portable Gas Stove and the very next day after I received it, we had a power outage. I set up my portable stove and WOW, I had a good hot breakfast, including a cup of hot coffee! Set-up was a breeze. It's lightweight and the butane canister is safe and odor free. In my area we frequently have power outages, and from now on, I won't have to worry about eating cold food. A family member had owned this stove for about three years, so I knew it was safe and easy to use indoors. Wouldn't be without it!!

We could never get this to light (directions say not to light it manually) and got absolutely no help from the distributor that Amazon referred us to. We went round in circles for far too much time to finally be told that it was made in China and they didn't have any information on it. They also clearly didn't care. We'll definitely stay away from anything like that. The stove seems like a good one, but not being able to light it wipes that out. It was quite a while before we needed to use it, so probably too late to return it by the time we tracked down any response.

This was life saver for me as I am unable to go up and down the stair much and now I can have hot food upstairs. It's really easy to use but of course you have to have ventilation. Really a nice product.

I am so happy to have bought this for my home. It is great for that extra burner indoors or outdoors. Why didn't I thing of this years ago?
Comes in a carrying case, is very easy to store and keep clean. A lot of product in a small package.
