I have been using this tripod for over a month now, when I first took it out of the box the first things that struck me were its compact design and its lightness. Both these characteristics make it a good option for traveling photographers. I have a Canon Rebel XSI and I primarily needed the tripod to mount my telescopic lens, which is kind of heavy to handle by hand alone [plus of course hand jitters are more noticeable on a high zoom lens]. But that's not the only lens I tried the tripod out with, I also used the tripod while taking images with my EF-S 18-55mm IS lens. My overall opinion of this product is that you get what you pay for, it has an unbeatable cheap price and the frame is light and strong enough (although not carbon fiber strong) for applications that do not involve putting it under too much stress [cameras it can handle, but probably not being banged around or leaned on too much]. But on the downside, it is too light and unless you have a remote controlled camera, it is no good against hand jitters [that are visible not only in telescopic zoomed images but with some long exposure (read low light) portraits as well]. So my final word is buy this tripod if you are just starting out, but for more professional needs go for a heavier carbon fiber based tripod [they are kinda expensive though].

It's a cheep tripod. Professional grade tripods are well out of my budget. For the price it's a good product. It's bulky and awkward. It doesn't fit the tripod straps on my camera bag. The threads tend to be a little loose - they shift even after I've tightened everything down. But it's still a tripod and still works great and I could afford to buy it. My shots are clearer than handheld, especially anything with a shutter speed slower than about 1/60.

this product is indeed very cheap but it is good quality. you can't expect too much from this lightweight tripod. for what i'm doing, just simple photography that i need a steady hold for, this has done the job. only used a few times but so far i'm a fan. you can't beat the price

I'm just starting out in photography and needed some basic gear. I saw the positive reviews on this tripod, but was most excited about the price. So glad I bought it. It comes with a lightweight nylon carrying case with a strap which is perfect for slinging across your body or over your shoulder. The tripod itself is very light and I love how extendable it is. I live in Baltimore and I do a lot of trekking around the city to capture cityscapes -- this tripod comes everywhere with me. Stability is also good. You can tighten the different bolts to keep it locked in place. I do a lot of HDR shots and the camera stays in place for the three exposures, no problem. Overall, an excellent product. Highly recommended!

i did not want to travel with my heavy tripod to the us - so i bought this one just this one occasion - but i have to say boy you cant beat that price - super quality for that little price - well the stability could be better of course - but i know how to help myself out in specific situations - so take it- you want regret it....

There's no way I would trust any camera on this thin Tripod. Tripod was delivered on time and seemed new, but not worth the risk of putting any camera on it not even a snap shot.

Got this to take family photos using the camera's timer function and to use with the video camera. It is just fine for light use at home. If you're expecting professional grade, this is not it. But it holds the camera steady and level so that you can be in the picture or you can set your videocam to record. Couldn't be happier. You don't have to be a photography pro to use this, and a photography pro probably would not choose this. But for basic home use for family photos, you should not be disappointed with this product. It's low priced enough to justify the purchase even if you only use it occasionally.

This is an extremely low quality product; typical 'made in China' stuff. Very light and imbalanced, the locks on each tripod are flimsy plastic and prone to breaking, the plastic locks themselves have not been machined right and do not lock in place securely.
Returned this piece of garbage in one day after I received it.
Stay away from this.

Extremely disappointed, this product is a great product. Light weight and seemed durable, however, I was wrong. I had put it in the bag and when it came time to use it I took it out and moved the head up and it simply cracked, I move it again the whole thing cracked, and now it is useless. Great packaging, so shipping I know didn't cause it, but the made in China plastic.

this tripod worked good for my Olympus camera, It was a good deal for the price. Not ment for heavy duty work.
