Portable, inexpensive, light (feels as if it was made of titanium), easy to handle, easy to pan, perfect size, interesting foam grips, and it comes with Canon removable mount adapter, (the one with the screw and point)

I would recommend.

I am not an experienced tripod user so I'm not sure how this one directly compares to other tripods on the market, but for our purposes this is a great tripod. It's very easy to use, functions well, did everything we needed it to do. It could be a little smoother on the panning, but that could also be a bit of user learning curve coming into play. But we were looking for a reasonably priced tripod that wasn't too bulky for travel, and this one fit the bill.

This tripod is fine for the occasional user. The multi leveling, spanning head has a detachable piece to easily attach your camera. The legs lock into place giving good stability and can be adjusted for uneven turf, steps, et cetera. The one problem I had was the swivel operation not being smooth. (Slight jerking while spanning side to side as on a field of play ) I shoot many sport and smooth movement is imperative so not to get jerking motion in final product.

I wanted an inexpensive tripod that I would use maybe 3-4 times in a year for a birthday or some special occasion where I just need to set it up once and it can keep taking videos.

It meets that expectation and the price was just perfect.

The bag to pack it in is handy; it becomes quite compact after the legs of the tripod collapse into the hollow tubes/legs.

Tripod came with one leg not atached but luckily the pop rivet was at the bottom of package. A few minutes with a punch and hammer and all is good. Too bad with a little quality control I would have rated this 5 stars

I purchased this for my Canon HF200 camcorder as well as my Canon xti DSLR camera. While my expectations weren't too high for a tripod costing $15, I was a little surprised how flimsy it is. I've used it w/ the DLSR last week and was nervous using my remote to shoot pics. I don't trust this thing to hold my DSLR and if it falls over and does break my camera, I will be the only one to blame...

If you got good gear, go get a better tripod.

I am a avid travellor and starter to use videocams. This tripod should definitely make the biggest difference (both in price and quality) for my next projects(!#$@), but the shipment cost is really scary when I chose this item from amazon. $14.99+$10 (shipment). hey, Is anyone noticing it..

My STEM Ambassadors love the Tripod. It is small enought to be easy to use and transport to their various meetings. I would recommend it to anyone working in the field.
