I am a physical therapist and have had several of my clients with pelvic floor pain and dysfunction purchace the crystal wand. Although it is an excellent tool, the cost is way too much for a small piece of acrylic. It should be no more than $30 tops with the shipping and handling included.

My tailbone pain was correctly diagnosed by my spine/pain doctor as originating from pelvic muscles that attach to the tailbone being in constant spasm. Sessions with a physical therapist trained in internal trigger point therapy has helped, but I need to work on the muscles myself. Can't go indefinitely. My physical therapist suggested that many clients have used the Crystal Wand ("therapeutic" style)to work on the trigger points, and I should consider getting one. After reading the review of the other style which mentioned a "pointiness" issue, I looked at this style which did not seem pointy and decided that actually the bulbous end might be a little easier to hold. My PT trained me to use it, and it does help. (The exercises are not "Kegels"; it's best learned from an expert.) I gave this product 4 rather than 5 stars because really, the price is too high. But it is much cheaper than continuing to see the PT.

Physcial therapy sessions can be very expensive. This product was recommended by my physical therapist to help me access and reach trigger points in my pelvis. While the product could be less expensive since it is only acrylic....it does provide a means of giving yourself relief from trigger-point pain in difficult to reach areas. This tool has helped me.
