This review is from: #8 Deluxe Heavy Duty Manual Tinned Meat Grinder (3 stuffing funnesl, stuffing stars, flange, 2 SS grinder
Don't be lured by the attractive price as I was. The item took forever to ship. When I finally received it, I found several product flaws. The first one was that the Handle doesn't fit into the end of the auger as it should. The auger end has several burrs from the manufacturing so that it prevents the handle from sliding into it snugly. Once I finally forced the handle on, I started grinding and the gasket that secures the dye and the blade to the auger started bleeding meat juice all over my kitchen floor through the actual metal (it wasn't leaking because it wasn't screwed on tight or because it wasn't screwed on right) there was an actual hole in the metal gasket. After sweating and laboring until I was red in the face, I noticed that I had only ground about half a pound of meat. The mechanism is not smooth at all and I gave up on the product very quickly.
This would be all fine if I was able to return it, alas the manufacturer refuses to process a return since I opened the package. How would I have known about those flaws had I not opened it??
Save until you can buy a better product and don't waste your money on this piece of junk.
Oh and did I mention that the whole piece is painted with a cheap metallic paint that chips off into your meat?
