We use mil-spec (military contractor specification) box stitching for the hanging loops that attach the chair seat to the suspension system. The 2 pieces of webbing are joined together with 128 separate stitches, performed by our computer programmable automated tacker sewing machine. The Achilles Heal of most hanging chairs is the seat. The first place to come unraveled is the front/center portion of the seat where users put all their weight when getting out of the seat. We stitch 1200 LB test 2" webbing inside the entire front seam of the seat for reinforcement in this critical place. The front of our seat seams are quadruple stitched. The chair's 600 denier nylon material is encased in 2" webbing on the sides for extra comfort, strength and durability. Our competitors use only 1" webbing on the back edge.
