I own a grocery store that has an expanding deli. I looked at one of these peelers but they had so many bad reviews. I hate wasting time and wasting potatoes peeling them. I bought this little thing and wow! It really works. Plus all the peeling go straight in the trash. My clean up is nothing. I should have bought this a long time ago. I have peeled about 100 lbs of potatoes with the same blade. So definitely the best bang for your buck. I also use it for making apple pies. I peeled about 30lbs of potatoes a week this is great for the money and electricity cost. So much faster ,so much easier, and doesn't waste potatoes. Thank so much!

I do love this peeler...it really does save a boat load of time. It takes me less than 10 minutes total to peel 5 pounds of potatoes. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is I wish it would peel closer to the top and the bottom of the potato, which would allow you to just trim the top and bottom, as opposed to having to manually peel them after they have gone through the rotato express.

I LOVE this product. With 7 children I peel a LOT of potatos. The only problem I had with it was when it stopped working. It simply slowed down and after 6 months of CONSTANT use it died. Since I am buying another one it must be worth the money. If you love potatos but hate peeling them this is the must have gadget for you!

After reading all reviews I decided to take a chance and buy(2), one for myself and another as a gift. Big Mistake.
Everything is made of plastic ,and I just don't see this lasting very long.
It is a cool gadget, but there is No quality to it.
Blade from my peeler also popped right off few times until I noticed that was broken.It does come with 2 spare blades so I was able to switch the blade. BUT than to make things worse whole cutter arm came off. It took me more than 5 minutes to force it back in place. After that It managed to peel rest off my apple or what was left of it. It did little better with the potato(softer skin).If you are going to use it only for potatos and lots of them it might be worth buying provided that it still "works".It Is kind of cool when it works, that's why I didn't give it only 1 star .Also I wish it was peeling little less deep. Even at this sale price I would Not buy this again, unless they replace some plastic parts with stronger materials(metal would be nice).
If you like to buy solid ,well build products that last for many years than Don't Waste your Money on this.I hope my review helps.

This seems like a silly thing to have in a busy kitchen. But for my mother it is a life saver or a hand saver. My mother has arthritis in her hands and she loves it. Mom loves to cook and it is not unusual for her to peal 5 pounds of potatoes for an occasion. You just pop the potato between the top and bottom spikes, pull the lever with the pealer blade up, press a button and walk away. It still may need a little knife work if the potato is irregular. Her first rotato was manually operated. She had been using it about 10 years and it was still working well but she worried that it might break. I am sure it has peeled hundreds of pounds of potatoes and apples. For Christmas I bought her this new one(battery or plug in)and a hand full of blades and she now fell secure that she will never had to peal another. In case you are wondering, yes, I bought one for myself. I am a kitchen gadget junkie.

I HAD MY LEFT ARM AMPUTATED DEC OF 2008 BECAUSE OF CANCER. I LOVE TO COOK BUT COULDN'T PEEL POTATOES FOR DIFFERENT DISHES. I ORDERED THE ROTATO PEELER TO SEE IF THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED. I HAVE USED IT SEVERAL TIMES TO THIS POINT POINT AND WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEE THIS HAS BEEN A DREAM COME TRUE. ALL MY POTATOE PEELING PROBLEMS HAS COME TO AN END.

The demand and conditions of the return is unreasonable and unsatisfactory 40 precent re-stocking fee, plus return shipping. If these conditions were posted on your advertisement I would not have purchased any item from Eguys and will not be in the future. This item is completely unsatisfactory and useless. The box was not sealed; the small knife under the unit was missing as if it had been used. If I knew you did not to adhere to the Amazon return policy you would not have got my business.

I bought one of each. I figured that this one would replace my wonderful old electric model which had lasted more than 10 years (made by Dazey, now out of business)and I'd have the manual as backup.

The electric one makes a mess of apples (the more ripe they are, the worse the mess), it peels off too much apple, it gets stuck in a certain groove and just stays there (peeling away) and, if you try to prod it in any way, it comes unhooked from the bottom and the apple comes off while the machine is still spinning rapidly.

The manual model of the exact same brand is a breeze to use. No effort needed, no strain after 50+ apples, you are in full control of the speed, and it doesn't over peel or get stuck or come unhooked.

I haven't tried either model on any other fruit or vegetable, but based on apples, the manual is great and the electric is a disaster.

I had to give it 1 star (because it's the minimum rating) but, frankly, it doesn't deserve it.

I bought two just in case one broke. This is the best thing since sliced bread. I even bought extra blades and I am still using the first blade. If only someone would invent a reasonably priced commercial grade peeler...that would be nice. We sell pierogi with mashed potatoes and this sure makes our life easier

This product is a plastic piece of JUNK! I will never buy anything from the "As Seen on TV Guys" again! It would not peel anything and the blade kept jamming up with peels and the vegetable or fruit kept falling off the holder. I could have peeled anything faster than the time I wasted trying to get it to work! When I received the product, it was delivered in a skimpy plastic envelope w/no receipt or packaging information inside! Worst yet, EGuys charged me a restocking fee of 30% to return the product AND I had to pay the return postage on top of that! Don't waste your time and money!
