After years of searching for a floor cleaner that is easy to use and not messy I found the Haans. I got the Deluxe Total Home Cleaning System and I could not be happier. It easy to use, lightweight and does not soak the floor with excess steam like my old steam cleaner. Just a tip-At first I was reluctant about the floor cleaner because when you first use the steam cleaner on tile all the residue from previous floor soaps come up creating a white film. I did not know what to make of that-talk about getting everything out of the tile. It really did. I cleaned the floor with vinegar and warm water to get all the soap off the floor. Thank goodness that only needed to be done once. It was worth it. Since then my floor is amazing. I can walk in my house with socks and they do not get grungy. I also use the floor steamer on my hardwood floors. For years my cherry floors always showed every smudge and foot print. I began over the years to hate my floors. What I found out was it was not my floors, it was the cleaners. Just like the tile the first time you clean the wood it may look dull. What I found is that as I continued to clean the floor with the Haan Steam floor cleaner my floors no longer show all the smudges and foot prints. The little cleaning system is great also. I use it to clean everything from the bathroom, base boards, grit and build up in the corners, stainless steel, windows to the tracks on my sliding glass doors. It is also awesome on flat stove tops. I love it. Not only is it a great product but I have saved so much money not buying cleaners (floor cleaner, wood cleaner, shower cleaner etc... It is a savings of about $28-35 a month. I never thought going green would be easy.

I debated whether or not I should buy the handheld steamer along with the floor steamer when what I really needed was the floor steamer for general cleaning. WOW - am I glad I decided to buy both! I put the small round brush attachment on the handheld steamer, and began cleaning the grout on my tile floor. Let me just say that I like things neat and clean, but the grout in my floor is disgusting. I tried everything I knew to clean it without much success. The filth that came out of the grout was SO revolting. That said - it was also so satisfying! The one down side is that the handheld does not hold much water, so with 800 square ft. of tile, it is definitely a weekend job. The down side - you have to wait 3-5 mintues and unplug the steamer to refill the water. I used the floor steamer to clean up the dirt/filth left behind from the handheld. I LOVE this floor steamer! No trigger, no having to push down to create steam - just easy to use - plain and simple! Now - if this steamer stands the test of time, I will be thrilled! I previously owned the Shark floor steamer - it only lasted 6 months before it puked. The Haan WAY out-performs the Shark by a mile! LOVE IT!

This is definitely one of the best things I've ever bought! I have tile floors that are very textured & difficult to clean. With a regular mop/bucket scenario all of the dirt would flow into the grout & my tiles just looked dirty no matter what. Now, thanks to my Haan, both my tile & the grout in between look as good as the day I moved in! Plus, my hardwood isn't dull anymore. It's glossy & looks well taken care of.

The handheld is magic for cleaning my kitchen & bathrooms. I even cleaned my oven with it! So awesome!

There are only a couple of things to be aware of before buying:
1. You absolutely need to sweep or vacuum before mopping. The pads won't pick up crumbs, hair, etc at all. It's just a mop, after all.
2. The handheld can get a bit unwieldy at times, like in the bathroom when you're trying to clean the upper tiles around your tub/shower. There is an attachment so you can reach higher, but the handheld itself can be heavy when you're trying to lift it over your head.

Otherwise, I haven't had a problem.

I waited a long time to buy this product. I can't afford to make too many mistakes in my purchases, so I try to choose things wisely. I bought it because I figured it would reduce the number of household chemicals I have to use, and with the cost of those chemicals I figured it wouldn't take long before the steam cleaner had paid for itself.

I read through the instructions and decided to use it first in my shower. I filled it with the approximately 3/4 cup of water and set out to have my shower cleaner than it's ever been. I got through approximately 3/4 of the back wall of my shower and already I was out of steam. I then had to unplug it and wait at least 3 minutes before I could refill it and wait another few minutes before I could start again. To completely finish my shower, I had to unplug, wait, and refill a total of 9 times to clean all the walls and the tub itself. By this point, I just wasn't up for testing it anyplace else in my house.

The Haan does seem to be made well, and I am going to keep it because I do want to use it on my mattress, furniture, etc. But for regular cleaning, I'm just not sure it's worth all the effort of filling, waiting, and refilling - over and over again.

Maybe after I work with it a while, it will get better. So many people have given it 5 stars that I was sure this was the product for me. Now I'm not so sure. That's why I say the jury is still out on this one for me.

I bought these two steam cleaners in June and overall I've been quite happy with them. I have a lot of tile flooring in my house and I much prefer cleaning the floor with this steam cleaner to a bucket and mop. It cleans the floor without leaving much water on the floor, so that the floors are completely dry within minutes. You never get that "squeaky sneaker" noise you get when you use a detergent on the floor. I've used the rug cleaning attachment a few times and don't really see much cleaning going on. If there is a spot on the rug before you run the steamer over it, it is still that after you "clean" it. I get the impression that Haan is not claiming to remove spots but rather to sanitize rugs. I have no way of knowing if my rugs are actually being sanitized. My complaint with this cleaner is that the cord comes out of the bottom of the unit rather than the handle. This means that as you move around, the cord is always in the way. Another thing I would point out is that the rectangular shape of the unit is not optimal for cleaning around toilets. I've never used one of those triangular-shaped units, but think that shape might be better for the job.

As for the hand-held steamer. I bought it because of the reviewer that pointed out she uses it to remove soap scum in the shower. I have used the hand steamer quite a few times over the past few months and I would give it a B minus grade. I do like it and will continue to use it. However, it is nowhere near as powerful as I hoped. Probably because they don't want people hurting themselves with it. It has a different removable water reservoir cap than the floor unit, again, I suppose this is to avoid injury. The cap seems to be designed to release pressure but it is difficult to tell if you have actually opened or closed it (which you do by pushing down firmly and turning) and all too often I find myself just spinning it around and accomplishing nothing. As for cleaning, I use it for cleaning the bathrooms mostly. It does remove some soap scum and, like the floor model, it doesn't leave residue behind. If you use a liquid cleanser in the shower or tub, you have to use a lot of water to remove the grit it leaves behind. My shower door is much clearer than it used to be but it has taken a while. You will not get rid of the soap residue with one pass off the steamer. It is great for cleaning the area between faucets and the backsplash. If you have a shower door with metal tracks, you will really like the hand steamer for cleaning the tracks.

So overall, the cleaners work well. If the cord on the floor cleaner was more like that on an upright vacuum cleaner, I would like it better. And I think I do too much useless pushing and turning with the hand cleaner. If it perhaps gave a "click" or something to let you know if was in the proper place, that would help.

I'm not the best housekeeper, but when I get on a roll I can do some serious cleaning. I haven't put the Haan through all its paces yet, but so far so good. The old pine floor never looked so good and it was virtually effortless on my part. The hand-held unit got a short workout in the kitchen -- mainly the stove drip pans using the metal brush followed by a quick swipe with a soap pad -- normally a more arduous task. The granite slab next to the stove looks new again as does the textured fridge door. It's not magic -- steam does require wipe up and a little elbow grease here and there, but it dislodges dirt and grease with ease. (As a bonus, it also adds some humidity and warmth to the dry air during this frigid winter we're having!) I doubt that I'll use the appliances on a regular basis, but certainly anticipate making good use of them when a thorough cleaning mood strikes. The units seem well made and substantial, but recommend reading the instructions before using (they could be more user-friendly). These are not professional tools, but for the price I find them more than adequate for home use. Once I really get the hang of steam cleaning, I'm certain my old house will look (and smell) much better. I'm quite pleased so far.

I got this as a Christmas present from my mom. My daughter suffers from horrible allergies not only to food but to cleaning products. I wanted to try something else to keep her skin protected. After the first use in the bathroom I was shocked! The amount of cleaning residue that came from my tub and shower walls was overwellming! Now with only steam used to clean these surfaces she no longer suffers from rashes after baths! It worked wonders on the nasty burnt on areas under the stove as well! This is the best product I have ever used!

I absolutley LOVED the handheld cleaner! I was reluctant to purchase due to the couple of bad reviews, but bought it anyway. It arrived around noon the next day, and by 2 we had the carpets steamed, bathroom tile cleaned, and the kitchen window sills and baseboards sparkling! My windowsill is cleaner than when I moved in (brand new house!) Can't wait til the weekend to finish up. The only thing I do not like is the fact that I can only put 1 cup of water in the handheld and it seemed like I was filling it quite often.

This machine is so easy to use! We have hardwood floors and tile in the bathrooms. Vacuuming just isn't enough and I really don't like to use abrasive chemicals. Steam cleaning makes everything FEEL like it's really deep-down clean. The steam mop leaves the floors streak-free and the attachments with the handheld personal steamer makes cleaning tight areas much easier. Great products!

This purchase was well worth the research and the cost. I waited to put in a review on this product until I had used it a number of times.
Living in a rural area in the middle of the winter with lots of snowy boot,wet pet paw prints and four residents in the house, It has stood the test.

I have "tested" it out on my lamonate flooring,painted concrete and carpeted areas.
The Haan steamer has worked beautifully on all of my hard surfaces and floorings.
I am also enjoying the hand held steamer and attachments on shower door corners and rounded area's (seals on freezer doors,dishwasher seals ect.)

As with other review's my only complaint would be the length of the power cord.
The steamer heats up quickly and according to the cleaning pads is picking up the soil on the floors very efficiantly.
