My brother and his wife are wine drinkers, so I was a little worried about giving them something they tend to "specialize" in. But my brother told me that the one they had just broke on them but it wasn't a nice one like this one. So, if he thinks it's an upper scale model, then I know it has to be pretty nice. I got it on the daily deal so I got a great price and I'm so glad I did. My brother said it even came with something that you can put the cork back in with, or use in place of the cork, incase it the cork gets broken. They seem to really like it a lot.

I purchased the Pinzon Deluxe Wine Opener because it was such a great price. But i was pleasantly surprised by what I got - all metal parts (except the foil cutter which needs to bend), heavy and substantial feeling, extremely smooth opening action and works like a charm. There's really no going wrong here.

We have used a 20.00 wine opener from Pampered Chef for 10 years and it's been wonderful but has finally worn out...so it was time for a replacement...after looking in many catalogs and not once thinking about Amazon I decided to search for it while I was searching for something else. Amazon has everything...there it was for 29.99....and I've heard good reviews on this type of winer opener but very seldom see it priced this low. We tried it the first night and it was so fast my husband wanted to open another because it was like you missed the action. Anyhow, we are very pleased with this purchase!

The price was certainly right on this, especially on sale. And, I love the chrome color. Prompt shipping too... it arrived earlier than expected, even at holiday time. Bravo!

I got this as part of the deal of the day and what a deal it was! Even at the regular price, if I needed an opener and I knew the quality of this one, I'd buy it.

Very nice quality, great looking, easy to use. What's not to like?

In case this makes a comeback: It was marginally OK at first, but it quickly turned into a paper weight. Loosely made, it lost its ability to function without extraordinary grip from both hands. Hardly a labor saving device - it now requires squeezing tightly and a fight to keep the bottle upright while in use. Not a bargain.

I am thrilled with this product! Not sure how I got along without it before. Thanks.

I'm really not sure how it's possible but I broke it! As heavy duty as this opener is, I managed to make it go crooked. Darn it. Had to buy a new opener.

I received this in January '08. We probably average about 2 bottles a month we open with this. It worked great until this last bottle I opened when it fell apart. And, I can't find warranty info anywhere online, so I have to wait for Amazon to send it to me. I hope you have better luck with it than I did.

It is so much easier to open wine with this opener.
I won't say it is effortless as you do have to pull it a bit to remove the cork. But it is easy!

Though we don't drink wine too much, it is a very handy item to have at home. I recommend this product.

The reason for the 4 stars is the cheap plastic tray the wine opener came in. The first one was completely shattered, so I ordered another one. The second one came cracked as well - so I gave up on the tray.

The wine opener itself is fabulous! Opens bottles in seconds, requires little to no effort and looks very stylish. Great buy!
