I just received this board as a gift through Amazon. I had been looking at boards for a long time and seen many. I was so pleased to get this one as it is easily the best board I have looked at. It is very well constructed and has a high quality appearance. I especially liked the enclosed information about the history of the game and the instructions made it easy for the rest of my family to understand the game.

I highly recommend this board to anyone who loves Sudoku.

This board game has provided hours and hours of entertainment and challenge. I highly recommend itfor older persons as a method to keep the brain active and challenged . For the younger set it is a great educational experience towards the development of logical thinking skills, "decoding", process-of-elimination activities, etc. I have found this board game with drawers on each side to be most convienent for storing parts and for ease of use while playing the games when traveling. The board itself is well built and the number pieces are very easy to use.

I gave this to my husband for the holidays and he's been engrossed in it every day. The board and pieces make keeping track of his thought processes much easier than with his prior paper/pencil method. The product is attractive and sturdy.

I am very disappointed because I ordered this toy as a present and it came to the person without all of the playing pieces, which is embarrassing. Now accidents do happen but I emailed the company with this mistake. I am still waiting for a response and it has been over 3 weeks. My mother can not use this game because it is missing all of the # 6 tiles. Now you may say that she mixed the 9's and 6's up. However, she only has 10 # 9 tiles so it is the companies mix up. I wish they would rectify this situation soon. I will be returning the present as soon as I can.

This is a well-constructed and durable game. The manufacturers of wooden sudoku boards seem to provide too few little thinking number squares that go in the number places before a final number is determined for that square. This set provided 9 of each number from 1 through 9. Unless the player is gifted, as I am not, a set of 11 or 12 of each would be more helpful. The trays that hold the numbers in this set swing out when used. That is a nice feature, but means that the tray is not rectangular. That means that compulsive folk cannot arrange the larger square numbers in the angular tray to fill the space in a regular fashion. They fit, but not as neatly as an obsessive compulsive player might like. And who else plays this game?

I regret sending two of these as gifts (unopened) before ordering my own since upon opening the game I discovered a number of problems. The included documentation says there are 90 large playing pieces and 90 thinking pieces but only 81 of each were included. Of the large playing pieces, two were red on both sides which makes them unusable. A number of the regular pieces had been red on both sides but one side was obviously overprinted in black, yet the red showed through enough that I consider them unusable also. In addition, some of the regular playing pieces were of rough grain and the numbers were not solidly imprinted, for example the top of the nine was missing. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product.

My whole family, including a 10-year old and a 12-year old, have used this regularly since receiving it for Christmas. It's solidly made, with lovely, smoothly-sliding drawers to hold the large and small number squares. My only complaint is that there are smears from the black paint of the grid onto the blond wood nearby. It really bothered me when I first opened the box. As we've played with it we notice it less, but it is and unattractive mar on a nicely made product.

Well designed and good quality wooden board with drawers to contain tiles. Helpful that grids are edged in black. Needs more small tiles, had to order more separately.

The product is as described, but I was disappointed and frustrated by the lack of wooden thinking pieces. I purchased this product for my wife who found the lack of thinking pieces frustrating. The hidden drawer for the pieces certainly has more than enough room to house more. I noticed before my purchase that another customer responded about the lack of thinking pieces. I discounted this criticism. I wish I hadn't. What to do? Back to paper and pencil.

I bought this for a family member who had become a Sudoku addict. He tore into the board like a kid into a Wii. It is a very nicely constructed piece of fun, and it makes it much easier for him to teach others the joy of Sudoku than out of a paper-back book.
