I think this really should require no explanation...it is obviously the greatest wallet in existence...and its owners the most awesome people. Seriously, I got this for myself when I bought the bacon wallet for my non-vegetarian brother (which I can't exactly review because, while it's also immensely attractive, mine gets a LOT more use.) Anyway, I adore this little baby, which I've been using since last Christmas. 'Tis shiny and soft and delightfully realistic (well, after all, the exterior appears to be a detailed close-up photo of a real slice of buttered toast.) It's even shaped like a real slice, front and back...!
Unlike others, I haven't noticed any rubbing-off of paint (except on certain places along the edges, but honestly, nothing stays perfect and I haven't really faulted that; it just seems to be what happens to it naturally.) Of course, I always try to be exceptionally careful with my things and treat them gently, so that may have something to do with it. The wallet normally stays in my purse/bag. I think that if you also handle your toast wallet with care and respect (assuming you're cool enough to get one! ;) then the two of you will have a long and happy life together, as it keeps your cash and cards...extra toasty.
ETA: By now (2012), I have had to drag a perfectly toast-colored Sharpie along the edges to fill in the missing color...not that the wallet looked bad in the least, anyway. It was hardly noticeable. I just love the thing so much that I had to fix it up. It's still going as strong as ever!
