My daughter loves this ornament and all it symbolizes. Though it was too heavy for the tree, she has hung it in her room as a very tasteful year-round picture!

This is a lovely ornament from Willow Tree. The only drawback of this ornament is that it is a little heavy - and if put on a Christmas Tree will probably pull the branch down quite a bit. Since it is not "Christmas Themed" it would look lovely hanging anywhere in a home all year round - and is appropriate for multiple faiths. The hanger of the ornmanent is a natural type rope - and it echoes the knot theme on the ornament itself.

It is called the "Friendship" ornament but would be equally appropriate for sisters as well.

From the photo, I thought that the symbol between the two girls was a bird, but it turns out that it is a rope tied in a knot. The sentiment is that the two friends, or sisters, are tied together.

This series also has a matching trinket box - that has the tied rope symbol on the four sides. It would make a lovely, and more useful, decorative gift as well.
