The rest of the pan is constructed of brushed 18/10 stainless steel, known for its excellent heat conduction and versatility. Because of Demeyere's unique surface treatment, the stainless steel remains silvery white, even after years of cleaning in the dishwasher, and fingerprints are easy to remove. The pan's molded stainless-steel handles are easy to grasp, stop heat conduction, and are attached without rivets (where food and grease often stick). All Demeyere Apollo cookware is dishwasher safe and oven safe to 600 degrees F. Safe for all stovetops, it's very efficient when using induction cooking. Made in Belgium, Demeyere cookware is covered by a 30-year warranty.

I bought a Miele Induction cooktop w/ the Demeyere 5 pc. set when I remodeled the kitchen in 2008/09. That cookware turned out to be the most amazing product I've ever cooked with, so I bought some additional items, this Duo Grill being one of those pieces.

Demeyere is clearly a step above other brands. The way the pan heats on the 11" burner of the KM5773 cooktop is pretty impressive since a substantial portion of it isn't even in contact with the burner area. This item was purchased primarily for things like french toast (6 pieces at once I might add) but can be used for many other things, including oven use (not yet tested.)

The product is wonderful. It performs as one would expect at this price level. Demeyere is simply the best cookware I have ever used and I now have about $1400 invested in what I consider a minimalist approach to cooking. This Apollo Duo Grill works better than anything I've previously owned and will outlast the other "leading brands." I like the buy it once approach so the added cost isn't an issue since it will likely last the 20 - 30 years Demeyere is claiming.
