Editorial Reviews

Product Description
“Uttering lines that send liberals into paroxysms of rage, otherwise known as ‘citing facts,’ is the spice of life. When I see the hot spittle flying from their mouths and the veins bulging and pulsing above their eyes, well, that’s when I feel truly alive.”

So begins If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans, Ann Coulter’s funniest, most devastating, and, yes, most outrageous book to date.

Coulter has become the brightest star in the conservative firmament thanks to her razor-sharp reasoning and biting wit. Of course, practically any time she opens her mouth, liberal elites denounce Ann, insisting that “She’s gone too far!” and hopefully predicting that this time it will bring a crashing end to her career.

Now you can read all the quotes that have so outraged her enemies and so delighted her legions of fans. More than just the definitive collection of Coulterisms, If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans includes dozens of brand-new commentaries written by Coulter and hundreds of never-before-published quotations. This is Ann at her best, covering every topic from A to Z. Here you’ll read Coulter’s take on:

• Her politics: “As far as I’m concerned, I’m a middle-of-the-road moderate and the rest of you are crazy.”
• Hillary Clinton: “Hillary wants to be the first woman president, which would also make her the first woman in a Clinton administration to sit behind the desk in the Oval Office instead of under it.”
• The environment: “God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, ‘Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It’s yours.’”
• Religion: “It’s become increasingly difficult to distinguish the pronouncements of the Episcopal Church from the latest Madonna video.”
• Global warming: “The temperature of the planet has increased about one degree Fahrenheit in the last century. So imagine a summer afternoon when it’s 63 degrees and the next thing you know it’s . . . 64 degrees. Ahhhh!!!! Run for your lives, everybody! Women and children first!”
• Gun control: “Mass murderers apparently can’t read, since they are constantly shooting up ‘gun-free zones.’”
• Bill Clinton: “Bill Clinton’s library is the first one to ever feature an Adults Only section.”
• Illegal aliens: “I am the illegal alien of commentary. I will do the jokes that no one else will do.”

If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans is a must-have for anyone who loves (or loves to hate) Ann Coulter.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth your hard earned money, May 20, 2009
I'm not the biggest fan of Ann Coulter. I'm much more inclined to agree with Congressman Ron Paul. However, at times Ann does raise some excellent points. Sadly, her book "If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans" is in my opinion, one of the worst books I have ever read.

Most books offer new ideas or new thoughts and information, but Ann's book is nothing but highlighted quotes from her past books, speeches, interviews, and columns. There is really nothing new in this book. This book is basically an accumulation of Ann's worst moments.

All she does re-quote some of her most controversial and even discriminatory remarks and gets paid for it! This book does not provide any new information and I would not recommend it to anyone who is looking to learn more about the conservative party or politics in general.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ann Coulter fan who hates this book, December 31, 2007
I have all Ann's other books and I returned this one after buying it. This isn't anything new or any real writing on Coulter's part, its a collection of what other people have said about her with a few comments written in by Coulter. This is an absolute rip off and I'm positively fuming that I spent money on this book which isn't worth it at all. I like her work and when she really WRITES she does a great job. But this is not writing or anything else by Coulter, it amounts to a damn scrapbook that costs $25.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do I need to read all of it?, June 15, 2009
Ann Coulter must be a good writer. After all, her title alone caught my eye as I was browsing the shelves of the airport bookstore while I was waiting for my flight.

As soon as I opened the book, however, I was disappointed to find only a brief prose before a huge collection of quotes making up entire chapters. This in itself, quite frankly, doesn't make the book worth my money.

Since, I'm in the middle politically; I wasn't all that concerned about the political bias from the right. It was to be expected.

However, as a Christian, there is one thing that got my goat. Since I was aware that the book was not P.C., I have no excuse for having my toes stepped on, but I'm actually referring to a quote that's actually found on the back of the book (meaning this line was used for promotional purposes: "God said, `Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.'"

Yes, I'm sure "rape" is definitely something God would tell people...
