Demolicious is a collection of 18 Green Day demos plus an unreleased track from the trilogy album sessions released as an awesome Record Store Day exclusive. This is a real fan pleaser from Green Day who have spoiled fans over the past few years with lots of new killer music. If you loved the Uno, Dos, Tre trilogy then this is a must have as it gives you a great insight into the basis of the songs as they were written and jammed out by Green Day before all the awesome studio production was added to make it sound like magic. The performances are lively and raw and you even get to hear short snippets at the end of each song as band members comment on the recorded take. At one point you can hear what sounds like Tre Cool enthusiastically shouting out "Let's do it again!" and amp feedback also makes an occasional appearance. The final track is a very raw acoustic demo of "Stay The Night" performed by just Billie Joe Armstrong and shows a Green Day song in its infancy complete with string squeaks and vocals that fall out of pitch at times. The album has brilliant artwork despite the fact that there is only a folded sleeve inside without any extra information or photos. Demolicious is essential for fans of Green Day and is a limited release for music lovers on Record Store Day 2014 and it is also offered in vinyl and cassette version so as always Green Day looks after their fans and gives them what they want. Yet another great release from a small punk band that became superstars!

This album is amazing, and perfect for any Green Day fan! I looked all over for it on Record Store Day, so I was lucky to find it here. I am a huge fan of their three new albums, "Uno!", "Dos!", and "Tre!", so it was nice to see a compilation of demo versions of these tracks. I also love the new track "State of Shock", as well as the acoustic rendition of "Stay the Night". This release was a stroke of genius, so I would recommend it highly!

As a massive Green Day fan that was a bit letdown by the "trilogy", I actually really enjoyed this compilation of demo songs from their last three albums. While the corny lyrics are still there, the sound is much rawer and sounds like something from the Lookout era Green Day. The loss of the production value actually improves the songs as crazy as that might sound. The new song State of Shock is pretty good and the album also includes an acoustic version of Stay The Night which isn't bad at all! I do wish they would've have put demos of some of the better songs from the trilogy such as Dirty Rotten Bastards and X-Kid instead of ones like Fell For You though. A demo version of Kill The DJ would've been pretty cool also.

Even if you didn't like the trilogy, this is still worth checking out if you are a fan. It's nice to hear these songs in their demo forms and improves most of them. Don't get me wrong, this is far from Green Day's best material, but worth a listen.

I never got to get this on Record Store Day. I saw a listing for the album brand new and it was a pretty good deal, so I picked it up. It came today. I'm incredibly happy to have a CD version.
