This review is from: Demolition Man 3DO Stallone Snipes Long Box (Video Game)
This game, for the 3DO, greatly differs from the Sega, Sega CD, and SNES side-scrolling shooter versions. This one is a FMV game of mixed genres. It takes clips from the movie of "Demolition Man" and has new footage shot for the game with the stars Stallone & Snipes. There are 4 types of genres mixed into this game. The first is a shooting gallery, where it's in a stationary first-person percpective and you shoot at bad guys; you can use the controller or use the American Laser Games Gun (which no one has.) The second is one-on-one fighting similar to Mortal Kombat. The gameplay lags, you press a button and it takes a second before the character executes that move. The third is a First-Person-Shooter similar to Wolfenstein 3D. There are only 2 of these stages. You walk around these stages looking for the exit, which is harder than it sound. It's easy to get lost, there is no map, only a motion tracker for the enemies. The best way to find the exit is to kill everyone and hope the last batch of enemies is by the exit. The forth and final genre is a driving game. There is only one of these levels. Pretty easy, just drive straight by pressing up and you won't hit any other cars. In closing, there are about 10 levels. It took me just a day to beat the game on easy. I give it a 7 out of 10.
