this book is a list of spirits that come together. in the scriptures it says that if you leave your vessel swept and clean the spirits with come back in groups ( paraphrasing) - so this thesaurus is written by a deliverance minister and the spirits that he found group together. those negative spirits whose powers should be bound from having affect on your soul and have strong holds you should call out and you should pray yourself to repentance and speak in the name of jesus them to be loosed. how do i know these things are true? i am working on the same freedom one spirit at a time... my mother suffered from chronic fear and stress fear that the worst would happen she would pray in fear and never believe that it would happen just hope. she got cancer and passed. in this thesaurus one of the spirits listed under fear is cancer. ther are people who choose to only take bits and pieces of the bible but that is a spirit as well. spirits are intruders dwelling and causing situations thoughts feelings illnessess that can either block you from God or from having a fullfilling life. which is y the word says that he came to set the captives free.
but of course pray for guidance. deliverance is painful because it challenges deep ingrangrained parts about of ourselves that fight to remain hidden and fight to stay in your home. but GOd is faithful and will guide you to liberty. this is a list of spirits that join together there still is more information needed.
but what ever we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven for the Lord says these are the keys to the kingdom so I pray for Gods perfect will to be done. In Jesus name

This is written as a thesaurus with lists of words. There is only a really brief introduction. You cannot read it like a book, but flip to a topic. For example if you believe or discover someone has a spirit of anger, you can flip to that word and discover other demons that may be associated with it. That doesn't guarantee the person has those as well or that those names are really demons.

I bought it expecting detailed bible verses and explanations of different demons, but discovered it is just lists of different words.

It may be a useful resource to Christians casting out demons (in the deliverance ministry), however the Holy Spirit can reveal to us the names of demons, while this book only suggests possible names or related demons that may be affecting an individual. It is not an all exhaustive or informative book on the subject. Only a useful tool if you're actually involved in casting out demons.

It seems anyone could have written this, simply by placing similiar words together. I am not sure it it's worth the money I paid for it (I paid $10 for it). If it was cheaper it would be better, since it's such a thin manual.

This is a very simplistic book. It lists human vices, such as malice or greed, and then several other words which are the same in meaning. It was more like a vocabulary exercise than anything specifically to do with demons. The author's premise is that you must know a demon in order to get rid of it, so he presents one with lists of attributes. Don't expect any names. The entire book is primarily word lists, along the lines of greed, selfishness, spite, hatred, and so forth. I was disappointed.

ive had this book for years. in spiritual warfare and in intercession this book has helped me associate and understand different bondages, spirits and attributes of the enemy. this is more of a guide for a veteran, or at least someone with the understanding of what this actually entails.

i suggest derek prince's "They Shall Expel Demons: What You Need to Know About Demons-Your Invisible Enemies"
for a more in-dept study of a demonology type hit list.

Pro 4:7 says, "Wisdom is the principal thing;therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." We need wisdom in praying against the attacks of the adversary! I was not aware this book existed! It defines every spiritual attack that hits against the body of Christ. I was researching other books by Apostle Eckhardt and this one popped up! God knew what I needed.

My wife has been sufferring from schizophrenia for a while now. I have been looking for answers for over 1 year in divine healing and deliverance books. Smith Wigglesworth hasn't helped; John G. Lake has helped very little; Mahesh Chavda has helped a little; John Wimber has helped a little; Charles and Frances Hunter have helped some.

But every Charismatic book that I've read on healing and deliverance hasn't really gotten me any results. Following their guidelines, I've been praying this way for my wife who has schizophrenia: (1) I lay my hand on her head. (2) I say, "In Jesus' Name, I command all demons to come out now!" This has only resulted in her feeling some temporary peace; and at that only sometimes. On rare occasions, she would see lightnings come out of me or angels appear.

But now that I know about John Eckhardt's "Demon Hit List," the way I pray for her will never be the same. I have gotten instant results with this every time! Do you know why? Because this book is like no other deliverance book. This book is a DEMON DICTIONARY/THESAURUS. It has the specific NAME of every demon that causes every affliction known to man. These demon names were revealed through Eckhardt's dreams, visions, voices, and other deliverance/prophetic people. As I began to cast out the spirits of "abomination," "blasphemy," "abuse," and "dejection," my wife saw these spirits fly out of her head as black mists and lights. Each time!!!!!!!

This does not mean she doesn't still battle with these spirits--it's an ongoing battle of spiritual warfare. But now we know their names! IT IS ALL ABOUT PRAYING AGAINST THE SPECIFIC NAME OF THE DEMONS! Wow. And of course, laying on hands, using the name of Jesus, and being saved are prerequisites for doing exorcisms.

John Eckhardt's "Demon Hit List" is totally awesome!
It is clearly the most powerful healing/deliverance book I have come across.

According to the bible only people who don't believe in Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. You must believe that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive your sins and ask him into your heart for salvation. can be actually possessed by the devil. Once the holy spirit fill you after salavtion you are protected from the devil unless you do things against god's word. Christians can be "oppressed" by the devil or his demons usually but there is usually something that the are doing wrong in their life that gives permission for demons to torment them. Some examples are roots of bitterness, drug and alcohol addiction. These can render the individual powerless to fight the devil because their will to use is a choice and they disobey god in doing so.

This book is good for the new convert or the novice to spiritual deliverance. Apostle Eckhardt is very gifted in spiritual warfare and deliverance and in my opinion this thesaurus is good reference tool in a very simplistic approach.

the book is more of a thesaurus for spiritual warfare and those that hear (understand) hear, and those that dont just dont. John Eckhardt has meat not milk to offer in this book it is not for the babes in christ it is for those crhristians who are mature in christ and/or have the spirit of discerment. i give the book Five Stars.

Excellent!! Great as a reference and if you study between the headings, you do learn on some things in life opened the door to others; i.e. rejection opening the door to many; including rebellion, addiction and others.
