Book Description

Tess Jennings, now a member of the Memphis Police Department, is on her first cold case. The suspected suicide of Lizbeth Knapp ten years ago isn’t a theory her family accepts—they believe she was murdered.

But the case is only one of Tess’s worries. Ghosts are talking, and word of her abilities rapidly spreads. A dark ghost is terrifying the spirits of Memphis, and she must force the entity to cross over.

Tess doesn’t have to do this alone. Not only does she have her ghost-lover, Kipp McGowen, but the department has brought in a medium. Dane Wolfe might answer all her questions, but he also brings a world of trouble. Will Tess finally have all she’s ever wanted, or will everything she’s vowed to protect be ripped away?

I truly love everything about this book and series in general. Something about the personalities and humor draws me in and keeps me flippin though the virtual pages! The ending may have made me stomp around and cuss for a bit, but only in anticipation of what is to come next!!!" Booked and Loaded

"This book is full of suspense, magic, adventure, and romance. Tess is such a strong female character, even though she is scared out of her mind on certain things...but who wouldn't be scared of dealing with a killer in a prison? I recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance, loves ghosts...and loves some humor/sarcasm with their book. Can Fall hurry up and get here so I can find out what is going to happen between Tess and Kipp?" Book Lovin' Mamas

5.0 out of 5 stars LITERAL ADDICTION's Review of Demonically Tempted April 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Our Review [By LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha Michelle L. Olson]:

If you peek back at my review for Supernaturally Kissed (FROSTBITE Book #1) you'll see how much I loved it. The follow-up did not disappoint. It's another knock out hit by Miss Kennedy!

I had a theory from the beginning of Supernaturally Kissed and I was glad to see that I was right. The storyline played itself out in the most delicious way at the end of Demonically Tempted, and it had me verbalizing my delight. I can't go into details though because I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

Tess is just beginning her new life as the newest member of the Memphis PD. In this installment, things get shaken up (and her confidences are tested) when the Cold Case they're investigating isn't coughing up any ghosts for Tess to interview and/or help. To make matters worse, while trying to help her with her gifts, the department brings in a medium who does little but irritate Tess and make her doubt herself and her relationship with Kipp even more.

Demonically Tempted has a bit more 'magic and mayhem' than Supernaturally Kissed did, and that was just fine by me. I loved every second of it, and devoured the book in 1 sitting, wishing only that there were more to be had.

There were some interesting character developments in Demonically Tempted as well. We got to see a more vulnerable side to the normally cocky and confident Kipp, and an insecure side to Tess that wasn't really there in Supernaturally Kissed where it was very evident that she didn't care what anyone thought when all was said and done.

In true Stacey Kennedy fashion the romance was hot and steamy, even if it was just 'ghost sex'. Maybe that made it even more hot and steamy!??

The storyline as a whole was fabulous. There were twists and turns, hurdles to overcome, beautifully placed antagonists, and even a few unlikely allies in places.

I simply adore this series and cannot wait to see what Stacey has in store for us in the next installment!

Demonically Tempted
Reviewed by Francesca & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog

Demonically Tempted picks up pretty much where Supernaturally Kissed left off. Tess has now joined the police force and is using her abilities on solving cold cases. She's going on her first assignment where they're trying to figure out if what looked like a suicide could've really been a murder. Except she doesn't see a ghost. How could a ghost just have disappeared?

While trying to solve this case, she is contacted by a group of ghosts who are being terrorized by another ghost, or what they think is a ghost, or a force, or a shadow. Yes, ghosts talk to each other and word has been going around that Tess Jennings is their go-to person to solve their problems. But as she starts digging in this turns into a much deeper issue. It's not a ghost she is facing but a demon.

Tess's character did a lot of growing into her powers and her knowledge in this book. She also had the help of cutie newcomer Dane, who got on her nerves more than helped her along, and really irritated Kipp. Dane enlisted also the help of a witch!! Oh the possibilities! Kipp is still his jealous, possessive and protective self, and is there to help Tess get the job done and get rid of the demon. Well, for the most part. You'll have to read and find out what happens.

I felt the beginning of the book went a bit slow but it picked up speed towards the end where things were actually starting to unfold. I think the relationship drama between Tess and Kipp was the most interesting part of the story for me. I can't wait for the new developments in their romance to unfold. A lot of things changed in this book. So be sure to watch for the next installment in this series to see what happens to Kipp and Tess!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great read! July 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Another great read from Ms Kennedy. While this wasn't as much of a mystery as book one it was interesting. Dane is brought in to teach Tess how to use her abilities. The problem is he's a know it all that talks down to her. I really didn't like him at all. Recruited by a group of ghosts to get rid of an evil entity that is bothering them. Tess is left with no choice but to accept Dane's help even if she and Kipp don't trust him. They travel to visit his friend whose a witch, named Gretchen. Tess has to put her faith in things she never even considered real until now.
I was pulled into this book from the get go. While I saw where parts of this were going, I was shocked by others. Question I had from book one were answered, while new ones were brought to light. I was a little irked by the ending. Ms Kennedy leaves us with one heck of a cliff hanger. A very entertaining and interesting read.
