About the Author

Lester Sumrall (1913-1996), world-renowned pastor and evangelist entered full-time service for God after experiencing what he recalls as the most dramatic and significant thing that ever happened to him. At the age of 17, as he lay on a deathbed suffering from tuberculosis, he received a vision: suspended in midair to the right of his bed was a casket; on his left was a large open Bible. He heard these words: "Lester, which of these will you choose tonight?" He made his decision: he would preach the Gospel as long as he lived. When he awoke the next morning, he was completely healed. Dr. Sumrall ministered in more than 110 countries, including Soviet Siberia, Russia, Tibet, and China. He established Feed the Hungry in 1987. In addition, he wrote over 130 books. His evangelistic association (LeSEA), headquartered in South Bend, Indiana, is still actively spreading God's Word. Dr. Sumrall's goal was to win 1,000,000 souls for the kingdom of God, and the ministry continues this vision. LeSEA ministry includes such outreaches as the World Harvest Bible College, radio and television stations, a teaching tape ministry, and numerous publications.

The truth is based on one thing- reality. If you have never traveled outside the U.S., have little or no discernment ability or are a skeptic as to what demons, fallen angels, demi-gods, ghosts etc are, this will be a hard book for you to swallow. Dr. Sumrall spent his life delivering people, only those of us who fight the devil and hear him, see him, can attest to what reality is. Sumrall left us a legacy of information, and if you apply it (and it is scriptural) you can win in life every single day. I highly reccommend this book to family and friends, it is better than the fluff some authors are putting out there today!

This book is great for those interested in this subject. Although it takes a mature Christian that has solid faith in order not to be turned off by such a deep and truthful view. I love this authors simplicity in writing about something that is not simplistic. This book was entertaining, informative and an overall good & quick read. I suggest you get it and check it out for yourself!

Sumrall hit a grand slam with this book. Because he is not talking theory, nor is he departing from solid biblical ground, Lester does a great job of depicting the nature of the spiritual warfare we are in, detailing the enemy tactics and giving very practical descriptions of what the attacks look like. Lester's tales of real-life demon encounters are inspirational follow up with very practical biblical advice on how to fight back. Of the many I've read on this topic unquestionably the most useful and readable I've discovered. I give out copies of this book often and it is always received and read with enthusiasm by those of all ages. You will want a copy to keep in your library and a stack to hand out.
