This review is from: Demons of Stony River: A True to Life Adventure About North America's Meanest Animal, Alaska's Wolverine, Alias Devil Bear, Demon Bear, and Devil Beast (Paperback)
There are not a lot of books on wolverines out there, so I was disappointed that this one quickly proved unreadable - for two reasons. First, it seemed unduly graphic, extemely violent and scatalogical. I realize this is a nature book, but... Second, it was extremely difficult to wade through; I would say poorly written. Too many long and clumsy sentences. Thoroughly unappealing. I would not spend the money again.

It's clear that Tom Willard has plagiarized the book "Monarch of Dead Mans Bay" !
A poor attempt to become a writer. I found this book lacking original thought and creativity. It's clear Mr. Willard has no concepts of his subject in this book. This book reflects he lacks the skills of a true outdoors man or a writer. I have nothing good to recommend about this book, it's a waste of time and money. |
