This has to be one of my favorite cds of all time. One of the greatest hardcore cds ever made and probally Madball's best. With some of my favorite songs of all time like Pride(times are changing) and Nuestra Familia. For any hardcore fan who doesnt know Madball or somebody new to the scene this album is a must have.

All are good, but DMS rules. Madball is the best rock band in the world IMHO. Get back together Madball!!!

No matter what these guys do I'll always love these boys! They "tell it like it is" and keep the passion alive. You wanna talk about keepin' it real? These guys keep it real! Props to Madball for some great NY hardcore that even us kids in Cali can groove! Peace! --Kelly Magovern

HARDCORE STILL LIVES.

I have always believed that "Demonstrating My Style" is the
best work ever done by the NYHC legendary band Madball. This record was released in 1996, at the time when the 2nd generation of New York Thug Core scene was at its apex, thanks largely to the rise of promising bands in the likes of Crown of Thorns, Breakdown, Subzero, and H20, and also to the supports of their devoted community (local kids) and to the supportive venues in NYC.

I can remember when the band introduced us new songs (at that time) from this record for the first time at NYC show (Wetland). I believe that they were "Back of the Bus" and "Streets of Hate." I like this record the most out of all Madball collection, because everything are just too perfect. The top-notch recording allows a good combination of street-level instrumentation and the furious vocal parts, culminating what later was called as "New York Style." Compared to their previous records ("Set It Off" and "Ball of Destruction"), the production was significantly improved in this record, while still remaining crispy in-your-face sounds. The songwriting was also groundbreaking at this record, containing several classics like "Pride," "Demonstrating My Style," and "Nuestra Familia."

If you happen to start exploring the music of Madball, I suggest to try first for either "Set It Off" or "Demonstrating My Style," or preferably both, and you could go back to the middle 90's when it was so much fun to go to shows, drink, and have a good time at CBGB.

THIS IS A GOOD HARDCORE RECORD, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! I WILL HAVE TO ADMIT I AM ALMOST EMBARRASED THAT I DIDN'T ALLREADY HAVE THIS ALBUM SO I WENT OUT AND ACTUALLY FOUND IT AT RECORD STORE THAT CATERS TO MORE OF AN INDIE/UNDERGROUND SCENE. IT WAS USED AND PRETTY BUSTED UP BUT I JAMMED TO IT ALL THE WAY BACK TO MY HOUSE. THEIR LIKE A MIX OF BIOHAZARD MEETS THE CRUMBSUCKERS!
