I've already used these several times. Great so far. The way that they're piled into the case is not that great. Makes them kind of hard to get in and out. Not a big deal for as much as I use them.

So far this set has proved a real asset. The case is great and keeps them together. They are sharp and go thru wood easily. Nice assortment of sizes. We have used them on building an entire house, and they keep going.

Nothing else to say, but awesome. These bits have done everything I have asked of them, and I am confident these bits will continue to do so for a very long time. I especially like the organized case. With my job, I cannot take the time to dig through my toolbag, I need my tool immediately. That is easy with this Spade drill bit set.

I honestly can't say these spade bits are any better or worse than the Irwin Speedbore Blue Groove's that I buy one at a time from any of the local hardware stores. When they're fresh they zip right through anything, and are hardly a challenge using my 18v Ryobi drills. When they hit nails or screws, they chip and dull just like every other spade bit.

This set caught my eye mainly because I wanted a case to keep my growing collection of spade bits organized. The other space combo kits with cases I see seem to old only 8; this holds 13. The problem with this case is that the heads overlap each other, as is evident in the photo, making it impractical to remove a larger sized bit without first removing all of the smaller ones preceding it.

So, fair or not, my rating is based more on my disappointment with the case than with the quality of the bits (which, as I wrote, did their job until they died).

LOVE the case! It keeps everything at hand. The bits work well, and have stood up over time. A big problem with my old spade bits was that they knocked around a lot, getting dinged up and putting holes in other things. The case takes care of all that!

Like the case, not to bad getting the bits out and back in. They have worked fine so far and time will tell the tale as to how long they will stay sharp and function well. I have no reason to believe they won't continue to perform well.

Only used it once it will be interesting to see how long they stay sharp.
