Yes, stinky. Everything in my entire shipment came out smelling like gasoline. Ahh, don't you just love the smell of Naphtha in the afternoon? Me neither.

The odor comes from the cushion grip handles and smells just like fresh "Plasti Dip". It's a horrible, horrible smell that makes my eyes water and I can't stand to be in the garage with these tools laying around. Forget about keeping them inside the house. They are too inexpensive to be worth the return hassle, so I'm going to leave them outside in the sun for 6 months to see if the smell goes away.

NOTES: this product was tagged with the California Proposition 65 warning - I suspect the reason is that the grips are made from harmful stuff. Screwdrivers are made in China. Buyer beware.

Nice set for around the house, but any real pressure on the Philliphs will destroy them. Not for construction jobs, but otherwise good value.

A good all around screwdriver set, includes many different sizes and drive styles. Screwdrivers are well built and comfortable, not quite as nice as a set of Klein's but at nearly a ¼ of the cost these are more than adequate. Also, I don't believe the tips are meant to be hardened but simply coated to help keep the screws on the tips; this will come off over time and is actually quite common in the market place. (These also have magnetic tips, so this is a non-issue in my book) I would put these up against any other $25.00 set of screwdrivers. Only suggestion would be to offer a roll out case...

The drivers are made to look like they have hardened points, but are really only painted...comes off with the first use.

Amazon has the potential to be so much more. How do they allow stuff like this to sell? Smell was 110% repulsive. Positive reviewers could only work for the company. Sending them back. Costs me time and Amazon money. Just a dumb dumb product.

I laugh at the person who says these can be used for a professional trade. Many people do not realize the benefits of a quality precision screwdriver.
The tips will be hardened, resists twisting,fit much better in the screws thereby resisting stripping and produce less hand fatigue. The draw back is that they are more expensive, but they will last a lifetime with average use.

You will see a big difference in use when tackling stubborn fasteners with a cheap tool and a quality one. The cheap one will slip out, strip the fastener, the tip of the screwdriver itself will get misshaped, or the whole shaft will start to twist.

How do I know? I used to buy cheap screwdrivers which imitate the more expensive counterparts and witnessed these things happening first hand in demanding applications at my job. Until I bought some quality ones.

My recommendation, buy your selfsome Kleins. If they are too expensive, buy the single screwdriver that has the reversible shaft with the 10 tips (about $10 at sears). I keep one of those in my car, it is invaluable and if you take the tip out it becomes a nut driver for the radiator hose and other nut fasteners.

As for these Denali set, they are fine for fasteners that are not overly tight. Once you get to a real stubborn fastener (ex: rusty), you will realize the weaknesses.

Tip: You can make any screwdriver magnetic by stroking the shaft against a magnet.

I have so many screwdrivers I can't hardly find any of them. But when I do need one I open the drawer of my tool chest and look for these. I have all the brands and these feel very good and just like any of the other ones I own. These were given to me so I didn't buy them but when I need to replace a screwdriver I will look to these as the replacements. I particularly like the grip and the tip. The grip is made of an overmold material and when needing to torq down on something they don't hurt my hands. The tip has a special coating that at first I didn't think added any value but acts as a anti slip agent. Great screwdwriver set! As far as the other reviewer refering to the tips looking like they are hardened I don't think you want the tips to be hardened as they would be brittle and the chance of chipping is greater. The black tips offer gripping power and don't slip out of the screw head like ones that don't have this coating.

I recently needed to remove the battery covers on a new child's toy. The screwdriver set I had fit the screw, but didn't give me enough to grip to budge the tight screws. I ordered this set and it arrived wrapped as if it were bone china! I do believe every possible size screw driver I would need for home use is included in this set. I like the large grips each has. I anticipate not needing my neighbor's help the next time I need to remove a battery cover.
