Does everything it claims to do, but make sure to take a shower before using or soften your nails first. If your nails are too hard the plastic parts will break. Just happened to me tonight. It is a fantastic item for people with wrist or joint problems. But if you don't have those problems, you are better off with a sturdier regular nail clipper.

This clipper is not designed for seniors with thicker toenails. It doesn't open wide enough to accomodate a thicker toenail.I sent it to my brother in Florida and he called to let me know he couldn't use it. It was very disappointing because he isn't well enough to deal with returning the item.

I like the idea of a easy grip clipper but this clipper does not clip very well.

Easy Grip Toenail Clipper

This toenail clipper is aimed at those folks who suffer from arthritis and similar disorders. However, I find that it is just so much easier to use and hold than ordinary nail clippers. It is very comfortable to hold and doesn't slip out of your hand like the old fashioned metal clippers.

A must buy!

A well made product, but frustrating to use as the plastic guards over the cutters obscure the position of the nail you are cutting. I know the guards are to protect your toe from getting accidentally cut, but when you can't see what you are cutting the advantage is lost. Seem to be good quality.

This design is very good for clipping toe nails. It has a large easy grip. The only problem is that the jaws don't open enough for nails that have a large curvature.

I FIRST BOUGHT ONE ON QVC. THEN I LOST IT. I WAS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER ONE, BUT NO ONE HAD IT TILL I FOUND IT ON AMAZON. I HAVE A BAD TREMOR AND THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT DOESN'T FLIP OUT OF MY HANDS WHILE USING IT. IT HAS A LIFE-TIME GUARANTEE AND THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. THE PRICE SEEMS HIGH, BUT IN ACTUALITY IT ISN'T. IT WORKS, EVEN ON CUTTING FINGERNAILS. GOOD BUY.

The DENCO clipper I received had misaligned blades - visually hard to see but resulting in partly cut / partly torn nails. I asked for a replacement - the company was slow to respond, but then sent another clipper. Out of the box it was also misaligned, worse than the first clipper. Again a request for remedy was slowly responded to (both times it appeared my request was ignored until I repeated the request after 2-3 weeks). The third clipper was also misaligned, out of the box. I finally gave up and asked for a refund - that was 2 months ago, and still no response from GroomMate.

This is highly unfortunate - I need a clipper like this due to an injury that makes using normal all-metal clippers very difficult. But the deficiencies appear to be more than just bad luck - three misaligned clippers, and three times very sluggish customer service response.

These are fantastic. I have been using them for several years, and I'm going to order two more "just in case" they would go out of stock. My toenails are so thick that none of the others--and I have tried several of various prices--will open wide enough to handle the nails. In addition, I have arthritis in my hands. If I do manage to get a nail within the clipper of all of the others I have tried, I cannot exert enough strength to trim the nail. Most others are also more narrow, which contributes still more to my problem.

To repeat: These are fantastic! It is a good idea to use them after taking a bath, but that is generally true when trimming nails (and I do not always follow my own advice). I even use them for my fingernails. I have one of the Denco fingernail clips--same basic design, but smaller--but I really prefer using the larger clips. It is easy to maneuver them for fingernails, so the larger size is an advantage rather than a problem.

These did not perform as promised. They were not exactly easy to use, they did not provide an accurate cut, they were less useful than the old-type clippers (which is what I was hoping to get away from). I believe it was a waste of money.
