TERRIBLE. DO NOT BUY.,
This review is from: Deni 14150 Electric Food Slicer Pro II (Kitchen)
This product is TERRIBLE. I caution EVERYONE to stay as far away from this as they can. I bought it, used it to slice cheese and the motor literally stopped, even on the highest speed. It has a variable control speed dial and if you put it on the lowest setting it can go, it sounds like something is caught up in the blade and the engine is going to catch on fire--and that's without trying to cut anything.
I'm not kidding, this is a terrible product. I hope someone else doesn't make the mistake I did. Fortunately I was lucky in that the seller decided to give me my money back (I still had to pay for shipping to and from the seller which came to $30). At the time, I couldn't find any reviews for this product and I thought they couldn't possibly screw something like that up...at least for what I wanted to use it for. If you /do/ buy this thing, you'll be sorry...mark my words.

Not worth the money,

Save your money. This machine lacks the power to cut even frozen bread let alone meat. I was very disappointed in it's performance.

Returning it back to the store tomorrow,
This review is from: Deni 14150 Electric Food Slicer Pro II (Kitchen)
Just bought it home earlier this evening. Plugged it in to use. It is extremely loud. Cuts uneven and very awkward to use. Even though it was a good price (on clearance sale), we are taking it back to the store tomorrow (too late in the day today)

Don't buy one,

Purchased one a K-Mart for $49. Runs sooooo slow. but I would probably put up with that, but when I removed the blade to clean it, there was, looks like a broke place, in the plastic shield at the bottom, behind the blade, that would surely let meat, juice or vegetable particles fall behind the shield. If it is not broke, which I found several to be like that, it is truly a faulty design. I wouldn't keep if it was $5. Imagine how stinky this would soon get.

I recently bought a food dehydrator to make jerky. Then I realized that I would need to slice a lot of meat uniformly and thinly. I was in KMart for something total unrelated, when I noticed the Deni Food Slicer sitting in the isle. In was on sale for $49 and it was a rather nice looking device. "KMart. $49. This thing could be cheap", I thought. How bad can you mess up a slicer? Took it out the box, removed stickers, wiped it down. It really looked nice. Plugged it in and hit the "on" button. IT'S LOUD. Loud like a blender. And, for all of that volume, the blade is not spinning fast at all. I don't know how it's going to cut anything at that speed. It literal sounds like its going to die and/or bun-out. Totally disappointing, even for $49. I haven't cut one thing with it. I'm putting it back in the box and taking it right back to KMart. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product under any circumstance. Would give it 0 stars, but that's not an option. I would have a higher opinion if it didn't work at all. Then I could say it was defective. Nope, it's just that bad and I want my money back.

Received the slicer in a timely manner but its performance was dissapointing. the units thickness controls moves while using the product and provides about two slices at the thickness as set. constanly resetting thickness.

Deni 14150 Electric Food Slicer Pro II This slicers motor has all ready burned out. I received it new in the package, around January 10, 2011. Since then I have used it less than once a month to slice small deli hams, turkey breast, etc. To be honest, the motor did not sound to good for quite a while, but I kept faith in the product and was certain to use it properly. What a shame I won't be able to use it anymore. I bought it to save us money on the cost of lunch and sandwich meats. That's some pretty expensive sandwich meat! Unfortunately, I do not have the original box since that arrived badly damaged anyway. The company does give one year warranty, however, by the time I mail it with return postage paid, I might as well just chalk it up to a loss. Too bad. It was touted as a very reliable product.

Deni 14150 Food Slicer,

The main reason I wanted this slicer was to uniformly slice fresh baked bread. I had seen a Bosch model when we visited a family in France and it neatly sliced through even some of the tough French country breads. One of the unique features about the Bosch was that you had to have both hands on buttons to get it to operate, a child safety device. The Deni 14150 does not have this feature and it seems a little underpowered but at the price I paid for it I feel like it was a good deal. I just have to go a ittle slower when slicing some of the denser breads. I also tried slicing some cheese and it did that well but I haven't gotten the knack of getting it sliced as thin as I like it. Good value.

This review is from: Deni 14150 Electric Food Slicer Pro II (Kitchen)
To make a long story short the only thing this thing will cut is my onions. I tried to slice cheese and meat, all it would do is stick to the blade that spun very slow for cutting.oh yeah and it slung my meat and cheese across the counter.Need i say it went back to Kmart. Dont waste ur time or money.
