I own this pressure cooker & love it. I feel very confident using it that nothing inadvertant will happen as with the old ones. Pressure infuses the taste so well & meat is done like you may have programed it to be. It isn't a product that you pick up & use. Do a little reading on it. I love it.

I was worried at first about this purchase due to the mixed reviews. I have had it a month and absolutely love it. For all of you wondering if you can pressure can in it well you can. I have canned 60 pints of green beans this month using this appliance. You can put 7 regular mouth pint jars in it. As for quarts 4 would fit but I have not tried them yet the jars are very close to the lid. I'm sure it would be ok. It is recommended to pressure veg. at 10 psi and ths cooker has 3 psi settings. 7.5psi is to low so I tried 15psi at 10min for green beans that was not long enough. So to can green beans use 15psi at 20 min. Just takes trial and error. I would not pressure meats in this cooker, stick to traditional for that. Make sure to read manual before using. Love this appliance! Bought mine at walmart.com

Do Not BUY,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Deni 8.5 qt. Electric Pressure Cooker
Total trash. The return/replacement was not even worth the trouble --more satisfaction just adding to some landfill (sooner out of sight and forgotten the better). I'm not alone in this assessment, read the other reviews. I let my wife order this --her first use of Amazon and she simply did not read (or notice that there are) reviews, or it wouldn't have been bought to start with. So, read the reviews, and stay away from this pressure cooker. I tried to give this product a zero stars, but that is not possible with the Amazon rating system.
