Our first Deni went dead after one use. Deni customer service (Keystone Manufacturing) was outstanding though. Since it was a large heavy item, all they required was for the power cord to be cut off and mailed back to them, at which point they sent out a brand new pressure cooker. Unfortunately, the 2nd one arrived with the plastic base pretty much shattered, although there was no damage evident on the box. No problem! Customer service sent another replacement out immediately with no questions. Unfortunately (again), the new unit died after only 2 or 3 uses (at least it lasted longer than the 1st one!). So while their customer service seems great, this particular pressure cooker seems to die pretty easily (at least at higher altitude of the Rocky Mountain region). The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is due to the customer service.

I like it. I am new to pressure cooking and have had some perfect outcomes. A few things not quite as good, but think my inexperience was more at fault. I have had great customer service when I called with questions. I needed the larger size for my bigger family and I would definitely buy it again. Have had 2 times when the lid did not seem to seat quite right and steam was escaping. I had to drop the pressure and restart the process. Would like the lid on perfect every time on the first try. There is now way to know it will leak until it leaks but again has happened only twice with many uses.

I purchased the deni 9780 8 quart pressure cooker and all 4 were lemons. I like the looks and the features of the pressure cooker but they would only work 1 or 2 times and then it would die. This has got to be the worse pressure cooker on the market. Finally i told the deni rep to give me my money back that i think after 4 times that i should have got a good one. Dont waste your money on this lemon.

Total Trash! Died when tried to cooked some beans!! Used about 3 or 4 times, the Digital display stoped working, then the entire item did not worked anymore, the worst i throw away the sales receipt!! i believe it had some sort of short circuit..

This product never worked properly. It never built up pressure as it should. Couldn't depend on it. The concept is great but the function was in the toilet

Got this product. As instructed I did a pre-use run through. It seemed to work fine. I went to cook with it and it does not work at all. No digital read out or indicating light of any kind. Nothing! I sure wish I had listened to the other review that had this same problem. I won't make that mistake again. At this point two out of three reviews believe that this product is a piece of junk

I bought mine from Kohl's. The package itself was undamaged. Taking the unit out of the box, the plastic base stayed in the styrofoam packing while the rest of the unit came out. This left exposed wires and the electric guts exposed. Obviously, I never used it so I don't know how well it works. It's a poor design. I am returning it and going to find a better product. I won't be a Deni though.

The first one no longer powered on after about 3 weeks, the second one no longer powered on after the 2nd time I used it, and I've had the third one going strong for about 5 months now.

Obviously, there's something wrong with the design. Thankfully though, I may have a good one, or perhaps they fixed it and I have a revised model.

I do not recommend buying one due to the issues though. If you do have one, Deni's customer service is great and will send you a brand new one if your current one dies for no charge.

So, all in all, it's a good product -- if it doesn't die.

Unpacked it, followed Before first use instructions of filling with water to 2/3 line in pot. Plugged it in, the electronic pad was actually pretty, followed instructions and waited about 35 mins for the pressure to come up.I heard the pressure button rattle and then the entire electronic panel went totally black. I first thought maybe it would come back on and show the cooking time like it was supposed to do. It did not. I released the pressure, unplugged it, and tried it again, but nothing worked on the touch pad. It is going back to the store tomorrow. I will not buy another of this brand.

I just love this product. I have had mine over a month and have no complaints.
I bought it for my RV as we are in it quite a lot.
It won't heat up the kitchen like cooking on the stove would.
I love how fast and easy it cooks dishes to perfection.
My first try cooking I didn't quite get it right and had mush, but after that
I made sure the steam valve popped up and it cooked like a charm.
We had country style ribs for dinner last night. Yummmm.
I took it to work to show all the non believer's how fast you can cook a pot of beans.
Now they are sold too. I got the oval opposed to the round because I thought I would like it better.
I don't think you would be disappointed with this cooker at all.
