This review is from: Deni White Freshlock Vacuum Sealer - 1631
My mother gave me this item for Christmas a couple of years ago and it is still going strong. I use it for all sorts of things from frozen food to leftovers to waterproof packages for various purposes.
This device has a small, thin wire that heats up and a vacuum nozzle to suck all the air out of the bag before sealing. It is not a strong suction and doesn't do a spectacular job of removing all the air, but it is adequate and my food doesn't suffer freezer burn.
The roll of bags that come with it lasted me nearly a year so I was very pleased with that. The replacements are about $15 for 3 rolls, which at my rate of consumption is about $5 per year.
In addition to foods, I use this to seal hubby's wallet when he goes fishing or snack money for my son when he goes swimming. The bags can be rolled off any size you want so there's little waste.
This makes great travel pouches of cat or dog food as well. Overall, for the money, I've really enjoyed this device and will probably replace it with a similar one if it ever wears out. Deni makes a solid product.
