Many artists successfully balance the pop and gospel genres, popping from one to the next with relative ease. However, Miss Williams who "quit" pop/R & B for a career in the contemporary Christian field has made the transition and remained in the religious domain for many years.

The collection of her greatest hits from her respective gospel albums is angelic to the ear and inspirational to the soul. All songs show the singer's deep devotion to her beliefs in her faith and her family. The poignant "God Made You Special" is perfect for a parent who has difficulty expressing himself to an offspring. The traditional songs "His Eye is on the Sparrow" and "I Surrender All" are thoughtful and dynamic. "They Say" and "We Sing Praises" are beautifully rendered.

It is, however, the Grammy-winning "live" version of "God is Amazing" that really causes the spine to shiver. When Williams hits that high mark after a momentary pause, the soul is truly uplifted.

The lady can BLOW!

Her true calling! Almost all soul singers start in the church,
but are "discovered"while singing worldly music.
Deniece Williams was a backgrond singer for Stevie Wonder but her
big break was from Maurice White a lead singer for EWF,producer of her 1st. album which featured "God Is Amazing" Like Elvis Presley her greatest success has been singing gospel music,
Is the this best collection of those songs? YES!

Deniece Williams has always Been One of My Personal all-time Favorite Artists.Her Range just still blows my Mind.She can sing any style&handle the arrangements with ease."God is Amazing" is the type of Vocal Performance that you wish you were there on the session.a must have from one of the most Underrated Artists IMHO.
