This is the brand that the Trumpet teacher recommended for the students to buy. My son is very pleased with it and so far it works great. It's a well made straight mute and the price was very competitive.

I've played on a Humes & Berg Stonelined Straight mute for years and decided that it was time to move on. The Denis Wick straight mute gives a clear sound without the airy noise I heard with the Humes & Berg. It also has a quick response and a good tone at all dynaimc levels. I'm very pleased with this mute and recommend it to everyone. If you still play on a Humes & Berg Stonelined you're just holding yourself back, switch to a Denis Wick

This mute is of good quality, and has held up well over the past few years of ownership.
My only complaint about the mute is that the tone is not as bright as others that I have played, however it is excellently free blowing and good for multi-purpose use.

This mute was ordered for a band student who needed something more than the basic cardboard mute. Its hard to love a mute but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it. This does the job well, at a reasonable cost, and arrived quickly.

This is the perfect straight mute for most loud passages. It has a good high end and good buzziness, and as far as I can tell, stays in tune well throughout the registers. It's not the best for soft muted stuff or lyrical solos, but you can't get it all in one. Stays in the horn well, sounds great.

My son is just starting the Trumpet and this works well to allow him to practice at night without being too loud!

MUCH better than the H&B Stonelined mute. Very "Straight Mutey".

Sure, it is bright, but straight mutes aren't usually used in ballads.......

I bought this mute for my daughter and she loved it. It has a great sound and goes well with any trumpet.

Bought as gift for junior high-age grand-daughter, playing trumpet in school band. Would buy from this seller again.....prompt delivery!
