Perfect for jogging and to use when travelling.,

I read about the Powerbelt in Health Magazine and decided to give it a try. I have to say that I was quite surprised!
When I first put on the belt and started pulling the handles, I said to my wife..."this thing is way to easy and I can't see how it will do anything for me." But when I went out for my normal jog, half way through my arms were definitely feeling the burn, in a good way. I had to stop using it before my arms fell off, j/k, but the nice thing about it is you can let go of the handles and it snaps back into the belt, so I could continue finishing my jog. I can see that being a nice benefit not only for wimps like me, but also walkers who use hand weights and get tired. Can't just get rid of the hand weights half way through your walk, well, I guess you can if you have the money :) Anyway, I have built up to using it for a 5 mile jog and am loving it. I also packed it for a business trip I took last week. It is so small that I just packed it in with my laptop briefcase. It came in handy because the hotel I stayed at had closed down its gym facilities due to a leak after a big rain storm. Bottom line: it's a nice product that's easy to use and well worth the small investment.

Works Great,

This belt does what it says. You can choose the resistance you want and do a large variety of arm exercises as you walk. The level 1 and 2 are designed more for women and the level 3 and 4 are more for men. I feel I get a much better workout with the belt than from plain walking alone. It's comfortable. The only negative factor is the nerdy look, but who cares.

Started using the belt before ms. austin took it over. bought it with no case and only level 1 for $49.99. used it during summer walks on the beach. by far the easiest way to get a tan and a great workout. forget the stares people are just intrigued and perhaps envious.

Miracle Worker!!!,
This review is from: Denise Austin PowerBelt Walking System (Sports)
I am a working mother of two with very little extra time on my hands, and the older I get the more I notice the dreaded *arm flab* on my upper arms. You know what I am talkin about, ladies!! I purchased this product because I can use it while taking walks with my family, or anytime I have a few minutes to go out and walk, and it has worked miracles on my arm flab!!! I have found nothing else that works better, especially for people who do not have a lot of time on their hands!!I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to tone up their arms and burn a few calories without the inconvenience of having to go to the gym! It arrived quickly, and exactly as described. My arm flab is gone and the rest of me has slimmed down in the process... I guess it really DOES help burn extra calories!!! I definitely give this product 5 stars.

Need I say more!
I have gotten to the point where I can't use handweights because they actually cause pain in my bony little hands, and as we all know, you're not supposed to carry handweights when walking anyway. The Powerbelt is absolutely terrific! I used it for the first time today and had a blast. You feel kind of silly with it on but one of the pluses is that it makes you aware of your midsection so you keep your abs taut. I really enjoyed my walk today and will probably be purchasing the level 3 & 4 Powerpacks and possibly the workout DVD's. One thing, though, I do think it's a bit overpriced. But...it makes working out fun and speeds along results because you do get to work out your upper body while walking.

I purchased this item to use with Leslie Sansone's Walk away the pounds for the ab. The belt is very effective in my opinion. It comes with interchangeable weights up to about 4 lbs and I wish the manufacture would make additional weights for it.
I would recommend this item, especially if you do indoor walking.

I am not an outside walker so my treadmill is my exercise program. I didn't like using my weights while on the treadmill. When I found this piece of equipment I just had to try it. This Powerbelt system is exactely what I needed. It makes exercising the upper part of my body while on the treadmill much easier. If I get a little tired I can just let the cables go. It's a great piece of exercise equipment and I would highly recommend it!

I have been using my power belt for about 2 weeks now, couldn't believe the burn in my arms I was getting from the 1lb weights, this is an excellent idea. I use to carry hand weights and was always looking for someone to hand them off to when my arms got tired, now the handles just zip back into the belt, hands free. I feel like a super hero!
A little pricey but a good workout for your arms.

I bought the 1st version of this belt from QVC when it was a Kathy Smith item. Back then you only got the one pound weights and had to buy the others separately. Since I didn't know if it would be a good product, I did not buy the heavier weights. I WISH I HAD! I love this darn thing, and trust me, it will work your arms. I only wish I could get the heavier weights, so that I could make this more intense, but Kathy Smith no longer sells this, and I can't find the weights separately. I would love to have 3 and 5 pound increments. Anyway, this is a great item, and you won't be sorry if you invest in it.

I have been using the Denise Austin Powerbelt for about 2 months now and I think it is the most brilliant bit of kit. Anybody who enjoys walking and wants to get a full upper body workout at the same time would do well to purchase one of these belts. It is very comfortable and I find pack one perfectly adequate for toning. You have full range of motion so you can target every single muscle. It's fun to use and it makes people laugh to see you motoring along, arms akimbo! Who cares!? I feel fab!
