Dennis Fan?,
If you're a Dennis Fan, you must own this. It is rare and hard to find in good shape. Early Hank Ketchum work with Dennis in a more mischievous state. As the years passed, Dennis became more mild, well as mild as Dennis the Menace could be! A keeper if you can find one is decent shape.

All honest parents will recognize their child in these cartoons,
By Charles Ashbacher (Marion, Iowa United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER)
This review is from: Dennis the Menace (Mass Market Paperback)
Although he is by design a very naughty child, everyone with a son or a daughter will recognize them when reading about Dennis. He is a feisty and ornery child who is constantly in trouble, wearing out his parents. My favorite cartoon is on page 65, where another boy asks Dennis, "What are you going to be Dennis, if the neighbors let you grow up?" That is very funny stuff. One that I could really relate to is on page 29. Dennis is sitting on a pile of opened Christmas presents and he says, "Is this all?"
"Dennis the Menace" is the perfect cartoon strip for parents, the interjection of humor will make it easier to tolerate when their darling child momentarily turns into a monster. Even when they are at their worst, our children are still lovable, so all we need is some humorous salve to smooth over the roof spots. This book will do that for you. |
