5.0 out of 5 stars Great Study Tool!!
This little pamphlet folds out with tons of interesting and need to know facts about the different religions. Most people stay stuck in their little circle, the same religion just because that's what their parents are, its time to discover other beliefs, I'm just saying read about them and know the difference, then make up your mind. 3.0 out of 5 stars Very Basic
This is basically a laminated pamphlet. You could probably find more on the net, but this would be a good reference for schools or churches. Not sure why it was sent in a large box!

Most people stay stuck in their little circle, the same religion just because that's what their parents are, its time to discover other beliefs, I'm just saying read about them and know the difference, then make up your mind. The last section list words and definitions to a ton of religious terms. i.e. Pope/penance/apocrypha/clergy words like that to help you understand their meaning. There is also a family tree of denominations chart that shows when they started; it is really neat :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, Educational, Easy to Use, Simple, November 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Very helpful for exploring the differences in Christian beliefs. I had some previous knowledge, but learned much more than I expected. We ARE a country of freedom of religion. They also have another pamphlet for non-christian beliefs. Unfortunately they chose to label it Cults & Other Religions. I hope there is tolerance for others' beliefs. It is in similar format, easy to understand and informative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy quick guide, October 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this guide to help my son during his catechism classes, as he is always asking how one thing or another compares to other denominations. It does not get real in depth, but that is not this items purpose. It gives a sturdy groundwork for quick questions. It is heavy duty and has stood up to numerous un-foldings with out tearing. My son keeps it in his bible for a quick reference. A nice product well made.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good basic overview of the denominations, September 13, 2011
By
This pamphlet saddens me. Jesus prayed that his followers would all be one as He and the Father are one. Denominations fly in the face of that prayer. I know that sometimes, separating is necessary and right. But sadly, separation is often unnecessary and wrong. That being said, Rose here provides a very very good examination of the main denominations within Christendom. Professor Bowman along with research consultant Eric Pement cover 12 of the main denominations dividing them into two groups:

1. Liturgical:
Roman Catholic
Orthodox
Lutheran
Anglican (Episcopalian)
Presbyterian
Methodist

2. Non-Liturgical:
Anabaptist
Congregational
Baptist
Churches of Christ
Adventist
Pentecostal

Other groups are covered as well such as Calvary Chapel, CMA, Salvation Army and Vineyard. Also extremely helpful is a two page mini-glossary of 42 terms that are helpful to know and understand when navigating through the intricacies of Christianity's many denominations. My favorite part of this whole pamphlet is the Family Tree of Denominations showing (in a great visual chart form for us thick-headed visual learners) the branches of division from the great Roman/Orthodox schism of 1054 down to today.

I highly recommend buying, studying and carrying this pamphlet (fits nicely in most Bibles) as it makes a great conversation starter with someone who asks that classic question: So what's the difference between all these different denominations, anyway?!
