My suggestion, buy something else.

I'm trying not to say that, though it is just as hard not to say the name Bose in a headphone review because they dominate the uneducated listening audience.

The sound is very good, build quality so far has been durable, and they look good.

Before i buy these headphones, i saw good reviews and one talking about
the fragility of the cord.
That's true, less than 2 weeks after receiving them, no more sound at the left.
There are a poor weld and the cord is tooooooooo cheap ! Very very bad point for Denon, come on! Now i have to return them and choose better headphones !

I read a few bad reviews saying that the chord was fragile and of poor quality. I assumed that those people must have gotten some from a bad batch or something, but now I am one of those people too. 2 days after my headphones arrived I am sitting there listening to music on my computer when the sound suddenly stops. Now it simply comes and goes as I wiggle the chord, 2 days after the headphones arrive? That is simply pathetic. Needless to say I am returning it and getting some other brand.

I really tried to find something good about these, but really couldn't. They may have been defective. The left ear is louder than the right, even in mono. So the sound (which had the lack of clarity you should expect from low end headphones) was totally unbalanced. I've seen the reviews disliking the small ear-cups, but thought with my dainty ears I would have no problem. Wrong! Too small for comfortable over ear, and too large for on ear. I hate admitting defeat and returning anything, but these had to go.

This product was excellent. I was a little skeptical at first because I have brought plenty of Bose products before (which malfunction after a month), so I thought I would try something new. To my excitement, these are the perfect headphones. They are made to have a noise suppression from anything besides what you are listening to, which means even if someone is talking on a speaker, they will only sound like a muffled whisper. Great for places where there are many people and it is loud. Also they are extremely comfortable, unlike most headphones which hurt your ears after use for extended periods of time. And they have a subtle look and are not bulky, so you don't like you walked out of an 80's hip-hop video. Altogether this was a great buy and I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for good quality headphones.

I am not an audiophile; however I know what sounds good to me. I can't tell you about the technical aspects but I can tell you that this headset sounds great and I can tell you that they sound better than the Maxwells that I was using and that cost 2x as much. A bonus is that they come with an extension cord that includes the large plug used for headset output on a home theater tuner/amplifier or a guitar amp - that was a nice surprise as the cord that is attached to the headset is plenty long enough for my use but I can use the extension for other equipment - like running my guitar amp off my Optima projector when showing movies in the back-yard. The part that covers the ear is not large but they adequately cover my ears. The construction appears to be very good, for example the wires into the cans are protected by a molded rubber extension that should take the stress of the connection. I am very happy with this purchase and I would gladly buy again.

UPDATE: Do not buy these headphones. 2 weeks after I bought them, the left ear stopped working, like a few other reviewers said. These headphones suck in quality too. They were good at the time, but after trying on a pair of $200 Sennheisers, my view changed forever. If you want good quality for around $40-50, get these (on sale right now): Audio-Technica ATH-M30 Professional Headphones. Or just go the whole way and get Beyerdynamic DT 770-PRO Headphones. Your ears will thank you. You won't need a soundcard for your computer unless you want to amplify the sound and slightly improve the quality/depth.

>>These headphones when I purchased them had no reviews and for some reason they still don't. Even though there is an extremely small pool of reviews on this product, the Ah-D310s, please look at this review. So basically, I'm the first reviewer and I am very satisfied. My headphone background is pretty large, as I am cheap and keep looking for new headphones. This might be my last pair as they are so good.

First off, the quality of sound is the most important. I used to own some Sennheisers and they served well, but they had a very "tin" like sound. These headphones blow that away. They sound large and open with loads of bass that is not distorted, and there isn't too much. The sound isn't as clear as they will be once broken in, but for a first impression, they sound good. They sound a lot like the Bose headphones at the stands in stores where the sound is incredible. The Bose headphones in stores have had a chance to break in also.

I was impressed with the sound quality from the headphones. The sound is clear and the bass is deep. I typically use in-the-ear headphones, but these are lot more comfortable for long usage (over an hour). The ear-cups articulate forward and backward along with up and down, which provides for a great fit.

The headphones cable is about 3 ft long, but it comes with a 3 foot long extension cable and a larger 1/4" adapter.

My only issue is that they did not come with a carrying case and they don't fold up, so they take up a lot of room when traveling with them.

For the price, these are a pretty amazing pair of headphone!
