Product Description
The Denon DN-S1200 is loaded with all the right features to supercharge your DJ performances. This CD media player and controller has an illuminated slot-in CD player which supports multiple formats and you can also add music from several external devices through its USB audio interface which gives you access to up to 50,000 files and work with a variety of popular audio/video DJ software that use a USB MIDI interface. The Denon Controller includes 2-channel stereo output pair, 44.1kHz sampling range with low latency ASIO/OSX Core Audio support thanks to Burr Brown 24-bit DAC processing and the controller's own internal power supply. The touch-sensitive jog disc is designed to reproduce the most subtle or swift hand scratching movements for more accurate bending, scanning, file searching or dry/wet control of the 4 built-in effects: Flanger, Filter, Echo, and Echo/Loop. The DN-S1200 supports three USB keyboard types in nine native languages helping make searching for songs on the vibrant tube display (2-line character text) that much easier.Other features include two Hot Starts which can be turned into seamless loops, Four-way BPM counter, three platter effects (Brake, Dump, Reverse), 100mm pitch slider with multiple ranges, quick jump, relay play, power on play, data recall choices, key adjust, a next track function with cross fade, and more.

I have to say I'm usually a Pioneer freak, but I gave Denon a shot. I was very pleasantly surprised actually. They work great and they have loads of capabilities. Make sure to update as soon as you get this product though, because it does have its corks. I'm giving this product 4 stars because it works great with USB and CD's, but minus one star due to some glitches while trying to hook these up to both Serato and Traktor. These require so many updates to get it to work properly with these application and in the end is not worth all the hassell. But I don't want to take away any of the thunder revolving this CDJ. Its a great CDJ. Between the Pioneer 400 and Denon 1200 its really a toss up. So if your in a pinch for money, definitely go with these bad boys. Definitely worth every penny.
Update 2012: Since owning these for about a year and a half I have fallen even more in love with these. They still run great and suit all my needs for my home set up. I fully recommend these.

The Denon DNS1200 is a good midi deck for those who ae looking for a medium range priced product that performs on a professional level. The product worked great. I am a digital DJ so I can't speak on how the CD player works, but I plugged in flash drives and was able to do a set using the deck's effects functions, sampling, and looping with minimal manual reading. I am proud to own this product and I recommend it to all professional DJs and hobbyist.
