I bought this to power 6 pairs of speakers on my house boat and found that using just one of the two channels provides enough power for all twelve speakers. My installation guy was impressed with receiver and its features.

I was looking for a stereo receiver or home theater system, compatable with Bose 901 Series VI active equilizer. This was not easy. I basically just want to use this receiver for playing music in my home. The Harman Kardon HK 3490 met my criteria and was on sale.
