Product Description

Monitor your calories as you move with the innovative Bio Trainer Accelerometer Calorie Counter. Thanks to the same motion-sensing technology used by NASA, this personal activity monitor records your movement, whether you're walking, lying around or running errands. Input your name and age, and the accelerometer will sample at a rate of 40 times per second to accurately measure your level of activity. It easily attaches to your waistband; the large LCD display shows the last seven days of data, which can be downloaded to a home computer.

This item is not what it is made out to be.

I tried it and was very disapointed. I am a massage therapist and wanted to know how many calories I used. It doesn't work on any upper body movements.

Than I wore it when I was taking a drive. I used about 1,000 calories on that drive. WOW!!! It tracked my car movements.

Get a good walking pedometer not this gaget it's junk!!!!

Thanks for letting me soundoff

Maggie

This worked fine for the approximately 30 days before it broke. Considering the price, I did expect it to last longer than that.

I had this unit for a whopping 2 ½ weeks before it `malfunctioned'. The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) only displays partial readings, there are `dead' areas where numbers, characters, or symbols no longer exist.

Doesn't measure your movements while riding a bike or lifting weights. I work out every day for an hour and a half and it said I only burned 300 calories at the end of my workout. Fat chance! I agree with the other reviewer - get a pedometer or a heart monitor.

I was really excited to get one of the Biotrainers. My boyfriend got me the biotrainer for my birthday - well, he tried to get it for my birthday, but it took 6 weeks and threats of calling the better business bureau to get anyone to call him back. When I finally got it, it worked for half a day, then it stopped working. Replaced the battery - still didn't work. It would reset itself every night, then work for a little while, then stop working again. Received a second unit as a result of the initial shipping snafu, and that one didn't work either - couldn't even get it to move to the screen to input my weight. Garbage.

I was excited to get this unit. Having a general idea of how many calories I burned daily would definitely help me to modulate my caloric intact and lose some weight. Forget it. The unit I have just does not work. After wearing it for the day as instructed it shows 25-33 calories burned a day. I tried it over several days and restarted it by taking out the battery, no help.

Pros: it's light weight. Great idea if it worked.

Cons: does not operate correctly. Tends to fall off easily. Hard to read. They forget to tell you that to get the most out of it you have to go to their website and pay them a monthly fee to post the data.

Simple. Do not buy this product. I made the mistake of buying two, believing all the hype that it really can monitor calories burned. When they finally arrived, one didn't work. The one that did work is worse than a regular pedometer. After an hour and a half of tournament racquetball, it registered that my husband only burned 180 calories. Yet, an hour of mere walking registered a burn of 510 calories. Made little sense. I have been trying to return the products since the second day of using them, but there has been no response. The system they have in place requires obtaining a return number and label, but after applying for the number and label, I have never recieved either. And my 30 days in which to return them is dwindling. I spent over $110 dollars for these two pieces of junk. And it's killing me.
