I bought this one for My Mitsubishi Montero 2000 3.5L (not a Montero Sport) to replace one of the downstream 02 sensors. It came in with a proper cable, proper type of socket and a lubricator tube. The installation was straight forward and easy - you need a special wrench socket and WD40 to unscrew the old one, also pulling the cable through engine compartment was a tough (V6 :)
With the new sensor I passed the California Smog Check on STAR smog station with number like my car is brand new, before the installation - my car failed the smog test.

I would recommend it for Mutsibishi owners.

Denso is the OEM for Mitsubishi so they should be the same quality as the ones from the dealer. I've been using them in my '03 Montero Limited and I've had no problems. Plug-n-play!

This is the direct OEM replacement O2 sensor used in a friend's Mitsubishi Montero Sport 3.0L V6. Absolutely no need to buy the sensor from the dealership as this is the manufacturer Mitsubishi used for their o2 sensors. Best practice is to use the o2 sensors that came with the car. If the car came with Denso, use denso, if it came with Bosch like on european cars, then use Bosch, but don't ever put Bosch on a Japanese car that came with Denso and vise versa because they're built to different specifications and the computers are programmed with a specific o2 sensor in mind. A lot of people will say certain brands are garbage but most of the issues I've found are tied to the users not using the brand that came with the car like Bosch on a Honda for example. (Honda uses NGK/NTK while Toyota use Denso typically).

If you're uncertain of what came with your car, google the OEM part for your car then determine who is the manufacturer of that part. You'll pay out the nose if you buy the part directly from the OEM and it's completely unnecessary to do so.
