She holds a Masters of Education degree from Whitworth College and a BA from Eastern Washington University. As a Certified Dental Assistant, she is active in the Washington State Dental Assisting Association, where she served as president from 1992 - 1993
Judy Halstead is a dental assisting instructor at Spokane Community College. She has more than 20 year experience teaching and more than 10 years experience as a dental assistant. She was a program director for dental assisting in a private college and for a high school skills center. Judy holds a BA from Eastern Washington University and is a Certified Dental Assistant, and has an expanded functions certificate. She has been a member of local, State, and national Dental Assistants Associations for the past 25 years. She served as president of the Washington State Dental Assisting Association from 1994 -1995.
