I brush and floss daily and I'm amazed at how fast plaque and tartar can build up. I've been using scalers for over 20 years. I generally use the scaler every two weeks or so and it is very effective in between my regular dentist visits. I'm 48 and my dentist always comments how good my teeth look. It's a good addition to your regular cleaning routine.

I got these thinking it would be a good way to get at my pesky molars. I've always had good teeth and great hygiene. That is, until I got these picks. I know I should have paid better attention to what was happening, but I've used these for over several months. I now have cavities for the first time in my life at age 30 because these damn things were slowly building crevasses in my back teeth. Yes, I'll admit the scrap and flat side works well with these tools, but I felt like punching the first dentist I saw the day I rolled my tongue under my back molars and founds a sharp pit of worn enamel in several teeth. What was an attempt at continued dental excellence and maybe home dentistry for just a few dollars turns out to cost hundreds of dollars at fixing the problem. Go ahead and get these. The handles are comfortable and quality, however the metal will bore holes in your teeth if you're not careful.

the tooth pick one is pointed just enough to clean all the hard places. Yet not sharp!

the scraper works wonders. I thought I had cleaned my teeth really well.. but then I used the scraper and I couldn't believe what My toothbrush left behind!

I think everyone should have this set!

This is a really good kit, you can get most of the same stuff that you would get at a cleaning done with this, my only suggestions is to get a mirror with a light, big diff when you're looking.

This let's me pick things lodged between my teeth. Works fine for that. The metal hasn't corroded or rusted. The handle hasn't fallen apart.

This product is great. The mirror doesn't fog up easily and it's small enough that I can use it to see my very back teeth. The scraping tools are great as well. They easily scrape off plaque without scratching your enamel. They are very sharp though, so be careful! I definitely poked myself in the gums a few times and it wasn't pleasant. Just be careful with them! They are excellent tools though and a great for their price.

The picks are really good for home use. I get plaque build up often between dental visits and both picks do the job. The mirror is small but enable you to see if there is plaque behind and in back of teeth. It is a good tool to add to the water pik.

The mirror is very useful. The scaler is marvelous, requiring no force whatsoever to remove plaque that dental-floss had not been able to remove. The pick could be a bit more sturdy but if one realizes that it too shouldn't be used with force it does its job. Nice product, would buy again.

The five stars are for the scaler alone. I used to have a dentist grade scaler until it was confiscated by TSA. So for months I only flossed and brushed as I was trying to find a replacement. I wanted to stay away from products made for pets while I found dentist grade tools expensive ($15 - 20).

I used this scaler the moment I got the package and, in one cleaning, I was amazed how effectively the scaler on removing the build-up flossing and brushing leave behind. It reaches easily to all areas without contorting my jaws. It is as good as my dentist grade scaler - for home use.

Although I find the dental pick too sharp to use casually around the gum line, I really don't need it after a thorough brushing, flossing and scaling. The mirror? Unless I have my really-close friend to scale my teeth, I have no use of it. It would be great if Dentek will just package the scaler as stand-alone product. But as it, I am buying one more set.

I GOT TIRED OF LOOKING INTO THE MIRROR AND THAT STUBBORN PLACK OR WHAT I CALLED, "BUTTER" WAS BUILDING UP ON MY BOTTOM ROW OF TEETH, SO WITH A COMBINATION OF THESE TOOLS AND MIGHT I ADD, THE DUAL ACTION RECHARGABLE TOOTHBRUSH ,I FINALLY COMMAND MY TEETH TOO LOOK AND FEEL CLEAN. THAT BUTTER HAD BEEN ON MY TEETH FOR MONTHS, ALMOST YEARS, AND WITH A SIMPLE SCRAPING MOTION I HAD BECOME A MASTER DENTIST!!!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE IN THE TOOTH DECAY WORLD, BUT TRY THIS IF YOU WANT TO IMPRESS THE DENTIST ON HOW LONG YOU CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT A CHECK UP.
